Nothing what’s so ever

It is difficult to take a photo of an island paradise and do it justice. Tai Roto is a truly amazing place to stay. The staff are like one big family make you feel like you are part of it. The attention to detail with the room presentation and the breakfast served to you room each morning is fit for Kings and Queens which we certainly felt like. Yes the internet is not the best but you would spoil your holiday if you had it. There’s the Koru cafe a short walk up the road if you need access. Enjoy the isolation from the outside world..it’s truly an experience

Nothing. I have no criticism of the property. However I would advise guests coming to Aitutaki or the Cook Islands to invest in a eSIM card for the Cook Islands upon arrival. The internet does not work very well here without one.

Nothing to mention, beautiful grounds, wonderfully sweet staff, nice conservation of water, even washed our dishes while we were out. Location by the airport didn’t impact a thing with only 3-4 small plane flights out a day.

Location was out of this world beautiful. White sand, gorgeous palms, turquoise water. Wonderful fresh local breakfast, sweet staff, beautiful room with ability to cook in. Super clean, easy parking.

Only one little thing: towels. For 4 nights they weren't changed unfortunately and they weren't absorbing moisture

Location was perfect: few steps from Ootu beach but quiet and not busy. Really relaxing stay. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice and clean bungalow - couldn't be better

Staying at Tai Roto Bay was the perfect addition to our once-in-a-lifetime trip to Aitutaki. Cheran and her family made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Their attention to detail and thoughtful touches elevated our experience beyond expectations. The six bungalows are exactly as stunning as they appear in photos, set around a crystal-clear blue lagoon that’s simply breathtaking. Although we were initially concerned about the proximity to the airport, it ended up being no issue at all—it’s a peaceful, quiet spot. We loved the warm and welcoming airport transfers, which made our arrival stress-free. The beautifully appointed rooms were comfortable, and the well-equipped kitchen was a bonus for making homemade meals when we didn’t feel like eating out. Having an on-site scooter hire was fantastic—we were off exploring the island within minutes of landing! Cheran and her family gave us excellent recommendations for food, drinks, and activities, and they were always available to answer our questions with a smile. The bungalows were well-stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We left Tai Roto Bay with full hearts, feeling completely relaxed and rejuvenated. We can’t wait to return and will be recommending this beautiful boutique accommodation to anyone visiting the Cook Islands.

The beach is on the inner lagoon so a bit murky and shallow. You can't really snorkel there but there are bone fish. I would prefer staying on the outer reef side so that I could just hop in the water for snorkeling.

The villas are great and well furnished kitchen. We cooked many times. And they provide a lovely breakfast. They arranged everything to/from the airport which was easy. We walked nearby to rent a car and could walk to a couple places to eat (the Boat Shed and Koru cafe are both very good). They also have bikes and kayaks to use.

The only thing I would recommend is to upgrade the bikes available to guests.

No faults

We were picked up on arrirval by Cheran She greeted us and our short ride to Tai Roto she told us all the info we needed to know about our stay. The grounds there are Immaculate, beautiful gardens and breath taking views of the lagoon. Our room was perfect, the bed and pillows were so comfortable. The bathroom was beautiful right down to the vanity. Staff there were all so friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious.

Rooms and breakfasts were very "tropical island" style, which was done well. there was a depression like a "50 meter lap pool" in front of the villas in the lagoon that enabled one to swim whatever the tide. This suited us as would snorkel at Base 1 or near large resorts close to high tide, and swim at any time at Tai Roto. very relaxing eating or reading on the verandah of villa. We mainly self catered.

The sand flies - but they loved us. Take some repellant

Cheran and her mum, were super hosts and managers of the Tai Roto Bay Resort. We were greeted at the airport with big smiles and beautiful personalities. Arriving at our beachfront villa took our breath away at the sight of the lagoon right out front. Welcome to Paradise. Villas was gorgeous, clean and bed super comfy with a yummy breakfast delivered daily and very private. Great local cafes and restaurants within walking distance.

Cheran met us at the airport and made us feel so welcome from the start and was so helpful in recommending restaurants and booking them for us. The property is absolutely lovely with beautiful stand alone villas in a pretty garden setting with private lagoon. The villa was modern, spacious and well fitted out with everything including full kitchen facilities. A fabulous breakfast was provided and delivered to the villa each day including fresh fruit, yoghurt, muesli, bread, jams etc and on the weekends there was also eggs, bacon and sausages provided. There were kayaks to use free of charge and scooters for hire which was so useful.

Free bikes to hire were poorly maintained and Had very hard seats which, if you haven’t ridden a bike for a while, were not comfortable!

Lovely spacious room. Very clean. Very quiet. Lovely continental breakfast delivered to the room every morning. Brand new scooters to hire. All tide swimming at the beach. Walking distance to restaurants and cafe.

Found the chairs a bit uncomfortable on our backs. There was no television and no Beach towels.

Tai Roto Bay! What can I say? A beautiful slice of paradise We just spent 5 amazing days here, weather was not on our side but that did not deter us at all. We had our own private beach with just a small hand full of people. Staff were the most beautiful people who went over and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Cannot wait to come back
