Fantastic stay! Hostel has great common areas and two very well stocked kitchens, including spices and oils for cooking. Location is perfect as you’re directly across from the park + beach and the downtown area is easily accessible by bus (which is free with your free visitor card you get from the hostel). Staff was very lovely and extra helpful with arranging my booking needs/changes. I would definitely stay again!

the only complain about the hostel are the bunk beds, when people move on the top one it becomes very noisy.

Really close to aare river which was my main goal during the stay. Breakfast is good, it has variety! If you're coming to Bern for the swiming, no need to worry about the submersive bag, they sell on the reception!

Were not told that parking was very limited and needed to book in advance. Needed to pay 16CHF for 24 hour street parking in local area.

Evening meal was great value for money and plenty of it.

Room for 6 under roof, 3rd floor a bit too warm. Small fan provided.

Exceptional location centric, behind the parlament building, by the river, near swimming facilities. Modern, clean, functional but yet comfortable. Excellent breakfast, free transport card included. Quiet and well isolated despite of youth groups.

The bathroom and toilet are located in the hallway. There are no paper towels in the sink in the hotel room. I don't see anything else complaining.

The location of the hostel is in a very nice place. It's great to be located right by the river. It is also very close to tourist spots. City transportation is free of charge with the code given by the hostel. The hostel rooms are spacious and clean. There is a sink in the room. The hostel team is friendly. Breakfast was included in the price and was perfectly adequate and nice.

Couldn't ask for a better location, right on beautiful the river Aare. Clean, comfortable accommodation and a brilliant breakfast. The whole thing was super easy, will definitely use this youth hostel again.

The common bathroom was a little clogged up in the shower drain and some of the locks were not working.

The staff was very accommodating! They mailed something i left in the hostel to me.

The shower room and toilets are too limited for a whole floor. The guest kitchen is so small and not so well-equipped. Also, the rules of closing the kitchen and dining area around 23:00 is kind of weird because usually hostels are just allowing its guests to use the dining room until quite late, but only we need to make our activities much less noisy

The place is amazing, it is very close to Aare River and to Bern Main Station. It serves the guests with very fulfilling breakfast (which is beyond my expectation!) and public transport ticket during our whole stay in Bern. I highly reccommens this place for solo traveler

The plugs situation is a little poor, and I couldn't understand how the lockers work.

Great location, walking distance from the station (although a bit steep). But even if you go just to leave your luggage before the check-in, they give you a free transportation card so you can take the gondola back up ! Nice breakfast, enough bathrooms for each floor, and very nice personnel :)

Price of cappuccino ch 5.50 was very expensive. Not sure why. In.the heatwave room very hot. Would have loved some curtains round the bed9

The staff were very welcoming and efficient including breakfast staff receptionists morning and night, and cleaning staff. The showers were always hot. Breakfast was good. Location,by the beautiful river and a little climb to the station and old City and outdoor space.

There was no plug next to the bed, only a USBC port. You have to make your own bed, which I understand with hostels, but can be a little annoying. Breakfast ended at 0930 which I think is a little early. It was very family friendly, with lots of young kids running around, this doesn’t bother me so much, but if you are looking for a hostel to meet other solo travellers then this might not be the one.

The building felt very modern and the rooms were quite large. The breakfast was included in the price and the area was set out like a school canteen so had a lot of room. The location is right next to the river so was nice for a morning walk. It’s close to the old town for everything you need but not noisy at all. There was a secure luggage storage room and lockers available for valuables (5 CHF). Friendly and helpful reception staff.

It was really hot in the room. Even with the window open it only cools down after the sun sets which is past 930pm. The elevator was a little scary though; it made a loud clunk when it hit the 3rd floor and the door didn’t open until I pressed open but it seemed like a one off thing

Close enough to the Bern station by walking about 5-7mins and then take a furnicular down (free with Swiss travel pass). Breakfast was ok with bread, ham, jam, and coffee

One issue might be with the power outlets in the 6-bed dorms. The top bunk beds only had USB power ports, which may be inconvenient if you need a regular outlet. Also, for some reason — maybe due to the location or high usage — the internet was a bit slow on my laptop.

The location was great - very close to the river, which made it easy to enjoy nice walks and access nearby attractions.The breakfast was more than sufficient, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. On the day I checked out, they provided lockers for my luggage for 5 CHF deposit, which was very helpful for spending my last day exploring the city.If you're traveling with a large suitcase (not cabin-size), be aware that it won't fit into the room's assigned locker.

Would have like a place to store your own food, cook some water or just cook in general

The free breakfast was nice, nothing fancy but allergy and diet (vega(n)) friendly.
