Location is great. Close to train station and main strret. Great view from room. Clean room. Great facility specially the gym and swimming pool. I especially like the gym, great gears. Staff is super nice and helpful! I would recommend this hotel.

Best hotel we have stayed in so far at a holiday destination in Switzerland. The service, the staff, the facilities are top class, with no comprise to quality. I have traveled all the continents and stay at quality hotels, but this hotel will remain at my highest rating level. With the renovations they have recently done, you can see how much attention to details have been given. The breakfast has a premium selection of freshly baked items everyday and your choice of eggs cooked for you. The sauna, pool and gym have excellent features, not to be missed. The duty managers, the reception staff and all other personnel are super friendly. On our last day, Dominic was very helpful in making sure we get to see the Blacknose sheep, and we did find them. We were given etaxi voucher for station drop off by the duty manager. We will be back, look forward to staying again in the excellent Matterhorn facing junior suite that we had booked. Thank you to the entire team!

I absolutely loved my stay at the Welschen Hotel in Zermatt. The room was perfect—spacious, spotless, and with a balcony that opened up to the most stunning view of the Matterhorn and the village. The bathroom was big and really comfortable too. After long days of hiking, the SPA area was such a treat—we mainly used the swimming pool and it was pure relaxation to just float and take in the mountain views. Breakfasts were another highlight, with plenty of delicious options to start the day off right. Everything about this place felt cozy, welcoming, and memorable. I’d go back in a heartbeat!

Absolutely exceptional! I’ve stayed in over 200 hotels around the world, and this one is truly a hidden gem. I loved it so much I came back twice in just one month — that says everything. The view of the Matterhorn from the room is simply breathtaking, especially at sunrise. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the service impeccable, and every detail is thoughtfully taken care of. If I had to mention anything negative, it would be that my stay was too short! Also, while there isn’t an on-site restaurant, the nearest one is just a 30-second walk away — so it’s hardly a problem. This is, without a doubt, the best choice you can make when staying in Zermatt. I’ll definitely be coming back!

The location of the hotel is perfectly close to the main attractions of Zermatt. It is also near the train station and not difficult to get to with suitcases. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The breakfast is like the must-have, for the selection and quality is superb! They even offer champagne for breakfast! And the bed is very comfortable too. We truly enjoyed our time here.

What a beautiful hotel - every detail is thoughtfully designed. The room and the public spaces are lovely and the pool and the wellness center are stunning. The staff couldn't have been more helpful - from sharing hiking recommendations to lending us binoculars to watch climbers, to driving us to the train station -- they took care of every special request. Amid the bustle of Zermatt the hotel is a perfect respite. A really special place. We'll certainly be back.

Exceptional property and location central but calm and with the best Matterhorn view in Zermatt. Incredibly warm and gracious staff and beautiful spa and pool. The view of the Matterhorn from our balcony was incredible.

Breakfast is good but could be better. A restaurant at the hotel would be a nice to have. There is no AC in the rooms but the staff was really helpful in providing a Dyson fan, which was great.

Facilities/wellness centre/gym are amazing - the hotel is brand new. Also a perfect view to the Matterhorn! Staff is super friendly and helpful - thank you Dominic, Ricardo and the other gentleman I don’t know the name, for all the support.

The only downside is there is no restaurant for the evening but maybe this is in summer only.We found nice places in town but the view from here would have been nice at dinner.

This hotel is amazing in almost all respects.Our superior room was huge with beautiful design features,espresso machine,big bath under window,a view of the mountains,big walk-in shower,luxury toiletries,bathrobes.The pool and spa are one of the nicest I have ever seen in a hotel and there was also well-equipped gym.This hotel totally embodies top design from the entrance onwards which in winter also offers an in-built ski room and winery at the ground level.The breakfast was exceptional offering top quality fresh products beautifully presented in a tasteful mini-kitchen.The restaurant area and terrace look onto the Matterhorn which is totally spectacular.The location is minutes from the centre and train station and right beside the funicular. We were offered a free drink on arrival and the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful.
