Great location, nice atmosphere of an old hotel. Rooms are comfortable, we stayed in both modern apartment as well as in more traditional one. Clean hotel with a nice breakfast and friendly staff.

It was perfect in a non-flashy way.

Such a lovely old hotel - friendly, a perfect position, old world charm, beautiful view straight over the lake, and so close to everything. I didn't try the attached restaurant but it seemed casual and full every night. A sweet little single room with windows that really open.

Super kind and helpful staff, the support received was excellent, with great travel tips and local information. The hotel is located in a beautiful spot, with great views and just in front of the lake. Nice balcony and in the historical town. The place is just beautiful and the hotel has charisma. I would definitively recommend and repeat.

The lake-facing rooms also face the main road so there is a bit of traffic noise and some light from the lights spotlighting the front of the building— not a problem for me but if you are a light sleeper one of the rooms on the other side of the building might be better.

Right on the lake, central location; compact and comfortable room with an up to date bathroom, very clean and comfortable. Old school charm with modern conveniences. The room I booked might be a bit tight for two people but perfect for me. My 4th floor balcony room offered stunning lake views and a nice breeze. Nice staff, no communication issues. Delicious breakfast; you can book a room with or without it.

The wifi was not good at times and the TV is not a Smart TV so we couldn't watch movies in the evening. My disappointment was getting 2 single beds pushed together when I requested a double bed.

This hotel has an excellent central location opposite the lake, so a beautiful view. The staff are friendly and helpful with restaurant suggestions and free funicular tickets upon leaving. The breakfast was good. It was very clean, although it is an older hotel with wear beginning to show on the hardwood floors.

We were in 2 and I didn't like the fact that there were two single beds. So it wasn't comfortable, but the place was nice

Perfect location, wonderful staff and lovely comfortable rooms. The views from the terrace on the 5th floor are pretty amazing, and the whole hotel has an 'old world' charm - not 'dated', as some other reviewers have described it. The place is spotless, and the room was very modern. We would stay here again if we were lucky enough to be back in Lugano.

Everything. The 2 bedroom suite with balcony was outrageously nice with a spectacular view. The staff at breakfast was warm and welcoming. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Our whole family loved our stay. Thank you!!!

Everything was perfect about the property but I think Booking.com should provide better directions for travellers who arrive by train - google maps is not that great with its directions when there are many small streets and alleyways to negotiate in historic European towns.

The hotel was located by the lake and my room had a beautiful view. The hotel is near the ferry terminal and shops and restaurants. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The breakfast room was very attractively set out and the breakfast selection was comprehensive.
