Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesThey only gave 2 towels for our showers for 4 people. When we asked for more, they said they were out and gave us 2 hand towels. It seemed a bit pricey for what we got. They did offer to arrange an early morning taxi pickup for us to the airport. It was 40 euro. We called uber instead for 18euro. Not sure who was guilty of overcharging way too much for the ride.
Room was a good size for 4 adults and clean. We were glad they allowed for a late checkin. The shared bathroom was good.

United StatesThere was way too much noise in the building. Either the patrons or the residents were talking and yelling downstairs until nearly 12 o’clock at night. The kitchen facilities are not so accessible when the house is occupied by so many people.

ItalyThey sent me to another adress at midnight. I was with 2 small sleeping kids , If i was without the car it would be a big problem. Because I ddnt receive any notification about this by messages. More to that noone was answering on my messages on the booking website. The management of the structure should be better. And the room for us was for 3 people even if I asked 4 sleeping places. ! my kid was sleeping with us.

SwitzerlandThe location is quite far from the airport, and involves either an expensive taxi tide or a long walk from public transport. When I arrived the staff initially refused to let me in as I was past the 11pm check in time, despite having messaged ahead to let them know I would be a little late. After some negotiations they deigned to honor my booking after charging me an extra 50 percent on top of my fee. There was no wifi and the staff were quite unfriendly. Quite a stressful evening and actually it would have been cheaper to stay elsewhere, given the extra fees and taxi fare. On the upside I did get a free cup of coffee, which was something.

United StatesThis place is absolutely not a luxury accommodation—it's extremely misleading and honestly feels like a scam. The room had a strong, unpleasant odor, and the bedding was disgusting. We had a queen bed and two twin beds, and all three had sheets that smelled so bad, my nephew chose to sleep without any covers. My daughter couldn't even use the bedspread because it was too filthy. The queen bed was uncomfortable, and the twin beds were like sleeping on wooden boards. Unfortunately, our reservation was non-refundable, and we didn’t have time to find an alternative, so we were stuck and miserable in what was advertised as a “luxury” hotel. The bathroom was outside our room and shared by other two rooms. When we need to pay we had to wait most of the time because the other people are using it. Three rooms shared one bathroom! Is that LUXURY to you? There was no air conditioning or even a fan, and we stayed in June during a heatwave. We had to leave the windows open just to breathe and came back after our day tour to find the room filled with bugs: moths, mosquitos, and other unidentifiable flying insects. We arrived back around midnight and found no one at the front desk to assist or complain to. Despite the listing, there was no garden view. The property was extremely noisy, and there was no elevator to help carry luggage, which was a major inconvenience. The staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. The shared kitchen is used by the owners/staff and was never available when we needed it. It was constantly occupied and left in a filthy state—dirty dishes piled up, cooking ingredients scattered everywhere, and the stove was so grimy we didn’t want to touch it. This was, without question, the worst place I have ever stayed—and I’ve traveled extensively around the world. I am begging you: do not stay here. It will ruin your vacation.
I don't have anything nice to say about this place but DO NOT STAY HERE. YOU WILL REGRET.

SwitzerlandWe felt uneasy. Like we were guests in a stranger's home. The hosts are kind and friendly, but we weren't expecting to have a bedroom in a big shared apartment. If you know what to expect and just need a cheap place to sleep, it is perfectly fine. It is so close to the airport that the arriving planes feel like they are flying right through the window until about 11:30pm.
It is modern and clean, the staff is friendly, the room is spacious, it is very close to the airport. It is very inexpensive.
