Wonderful Stay at Villa @ Home Hotel Locarno! We had a fantastic experience at Villa @ Home. The place is beautifully designed, clean, and very cozy — it really feels like a home away from home. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the location is perfect: peaceful, yet close to the center and the lake. We especially loved the charming garden and the lovely breakfast. Highly recommended!

Great place to stay with family in Locarno. 10 minutes walk to the center. Paid parking two minutes walk away. The room was very clean, newly renovated. Beautiful villa with preserved historical halls. Friendly and helpful hosts. Breakfast at the hotel opposite.

Everything was very good. Just an observation … In the apartment we felt the need of a couch in the kitchen-dining area, for confy stay while other/others cook… we managed however fine with the table chairs.

Everything was amazing. We were a bigger group and had the two rooms with a big common terrace and the apartment. One of the rooms had two bathrooms (one was huge) which was a great asset for us as a familly with many kids. The view from the terrace was very nice. The apartment was very big too, with nice and well equiped kitchen (just one bathroom). All the rest of the house can be enjoyed: a good kitchen, a cozy living-room, considered as common spaces. Close to the city center… good breakfast… comfortable beds…and the host very nice and welcoming.

This classic Italianate villa was really beautifully restored, very comfortable and with excellent amenities. The modern kitchen was very useful - apparently shared but we saw no one else! Great views from the room and huge wonderful balcony/terrace. Handy for the railway and buses. We loved it!

The apartment was perfect except for two things: there was no television, and the WiFi signal was somewhat weak, particularly when trying to connect from the rooms.

In the description of booking .com it was mentioned that there is a parking on the site of the property and for us it was one of the decisive factor to choose this location. However, in reality it was a public parking and we always were stressed if there is an available place when we had to park the car.

Soft classical music plays 24/7 ,(perhaps to create atmosphere) but apparently it can be turned off on site.

Things to know. You can use the communal kitchen to store a few things. If you want breakfast, you can book and get it at the hotel half a block away. It's good. The bathroom (toilet) is one floor down, and kept locked. The shower is adjacent to the room. (en-suite) I didn't know the key was hanging in the room that contains the shower. Good to know if you have to go in a hurry.

It was a little chilly in the rooms. Which was fine for me but my daughters would have preferred it a little warmer. Also the owner sent a video of how to find parking. The video showed them driving and then turning down the road to find the underground parking. I watched the video a few times but when you've never been to Locarno you will not remember what the video showed and driving while watching the video does not work. So I would have preferred a google pin of the parking or just a drawn map with correct street names. I was told parking was accessible from Via Morley but Google was not able to find that street because it is actually called Via Sara Morley. Other than that little hiccup at the beginning all was great.

Nice old villa in Locarno. Big huge ceilings. Very clean. Would be the perfect spot to stay for a few days. 10 minute walk down to the waterfront. The 2 room suit we rented had kitchen facilities. If I ever want to stay a few days in Locarno I will definitely look this place up again. Best shower ever. :)

We had looked on booking.com for places with parking included and this was not the case. We had to park in a public car park nearby which was hard to find and full when we arrived. It made the arrival very stressful. We eventually found a free space. The parking wasn’t expensive but we were led to believe from the information that it was on site. We would advise that guests are allowed to park in the hotel car park, at least for arrival to be shown to the villa first, the deal with the parking.

This was such a nice Villa with lots of shared space, beautiful room and bathrooms as well as big balcony with lake view. It was very central to walk down to the lake and felt like a nice part of town.

I read the comments before booking so I knew I would find a nice room in a villa but we were still surprised. Upon entering we already blinked at the sound of jazz music coming from the living room. The villa is surrounded by a nice furnished garden that we did not use because when we arrived in the suite we immediately sat on the terrace enjoying a beautiful view of the town and the lake at the back. The suite for 3 adults is ideal. The double bed very comfortable and large. The sofa bed ideal for one person. Bathroom with balcony.  Everything clean. In room also coffee maker, kettle and sweet snacks for waking. Cinzia&Nadia are 2 nice and welcoming Hosts who deliver a great communication even if we had a self check in

A dream villa! I just stayed overnight in the deluxe suite for 3 people in this wonderful villa. The directions received on the day of arrival were very clear. Even a video on how to open the safebox and then the doors left no doubt. I could recognize the building right away. It is an impeccably renovated and upscale privat villa from the last century. High ceilings and blackout curtains. The suite with a huge terrace with beautiful views made us feel we were in an exclusive place. The sofa bed for the third person was comfortable and large even if I wouldn't consider it suitable for 2 adults. Too bad we only stayed one night. We will gladly keep the address for a future stay. We found the price fair and was over 300 francs. We did not have breakfast at the hotel because we left early but there would be that option as well

Very comfortable stay. They were very helpful when I couldn't find the property. They sent videos before-hand on how to reach and other details. No hassles at all; very smooth check-in and check-out. Extremely gracious and patient. Location was great too.
