Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

ItalyIn the room I was, the electrical sockets were only in one side of the bed and on the desk. It would be great to also have it in both sides of the bed.
Very close to the metro stop "EPFL". Comfortable bed and room very clean. Easy check-in and check-out. WIFI was ok.

United KingdomI was expecting to find a mini fridge in the room, but none was there. I was expecting to have the basics I tend to find in most hotels which are water bottles and tea/coffee with hot water kettle, but there weren't any in the room, rather, I had to go to the water fountain at the reception every time I needed to drink and tea/coffee were not free, only hot water from the coffee machine was free. The weather was hot and the staff were very kind and gave me an extra fan as the roof fan was not strong enough. Ironing facilities are again not automatically included in the room, but they provide it when you ask for it and you have to return it to reception once done with it. Due to hot weather and the lack of mini fridge I struggled to have cold drinks in the room or buy some ready meals that I can keep for breakfast or dinner for the following day.
I had work at EPFL, so the location was perfect. Very convenient and just opposite metro station. Also had access to gym (though I had to ask for the card each time as access wasn't automatically included with the room key). Liked the fact that 2 supermarkets where just around the corner which further added to the convenience.

CanadaEverything was great except the only rooms that hold three people are towards the train station so we did move due to that as we were concerned about the noise. Rooms for two are much quieter.
Hotel was great value. Well located with easy access to transit, very clean and rooms were a good size. Temperature was very comfortable.

United StatesNo air conditioning.
We stayed only one night, didn’t see much of a property. The room was very small, no air conditioning, just a fan installed in the lamp on the ceiling, which didn’t cool off the room much at all. There is no fridge. Burger place on the first floor of the building is very good though.

MoroccoWe asked for a double bed in the reservation. But as we,were there we were surprised to have 2 tween beds. As we asked for a double bed, the lady told us that we have to pay to get an upgrade room since there is no availibility for double bed for the reserved room. We asked to have it in the 3rd day. ☹️☹️☹️☹️
The location and free parking. The problem is with the parking, sometime if you come back late and want to go outside, you will pay the parking since the staff is out by 8pm. However, the staff can give you a ticket to avoid such situation. You have to ask for this ticket.

GermanyAccess to the hotel is cumbersome, because you have to walk several meters with your luggage. Breakfast was a bit expensive for our taste, but having supermarkets attached to the hotel building was very helpful.
Staff was great, very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and offered comfort for our family. Bathroom was clean and showers were good. We don't have any specific complains and enjoyed our stay there. There are supermarkets close and a couple places to eat.

SwitzerlandAlthough everything was super clean, at some points of the day, a smell from the sewage would come up in the bathroom.
The hotel is very conveniently located for someone that is visiting EPFL University. It gives you access to the InFit gym, which is very well equipped.

United StatesThe parking in the garage next door was very convenient, but quite expensive for such a rural location - e.g., I paid 60-70 SFr for one night. Perhaps my ticket could have been validated at the hotel for a better rate - alas. No other problems really.
Very convenient for me as it was on the EPFL campus. This is something like a dorm-style hotel, although the room, bathroom, etc. were fine, so I have no complaints. The staff were also very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was basic, but exactly what I wanted. There are a couple of decent restaurants in the same complex, so that was convenient too, and the hotel is right on the tram, so downtown Lausanne is less than 10 min away.

SingaporeNo tea making facility inside room. Teabags need to be collected from reception, which we did not due to the short working hours of the reception. Coffee from the coffee machine is payable. The shower area is relatively dark (no light near it) although it is still ok.
Super convenient location with the metro just at the hotel's doorstep. Two small supermarkets and 2 restaurants just downstairs. Room was clean and spacious. Great water dispenser that dispenses both still and sparkling (2 levels of sparklingness :)) water. Reception was warm (on the first day), and we were given a free travel pass by Lausanne tourism department for all public transport.
