Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaImagine this hotel is typical of those catering to people tackling pursuits in the outside world associated with the San Gotthard pass. Decorated in traditional fashion, and room had been updated. Staff are welcoming and helpful.

FinlandThe room was maybe a tad too barren, no TV no nothing.
The room was basic, but everything was clean. The shower looked like it was recently renovated as well. The staff was friendly and everything went well. We had dinner and breakfast at the location too, and both were tasty.

BelgiumUnfortunately, the walls between rooms are very thin and you hear everything. So, it is noisy. And some people are not so respectful of others.
The place is nice and recently renovated (or at least it looks that way). It's cosy and friendly. The food is very good. Breakfast does not offer a large buffet, but to be honest, it was enough, and the products were good.

SwitzerlandThe matresses of 6 of our beds were seriously useless. I understand this is a lodge, but we couldn’t sleep due to the poor quality, precarious matress we had. They were so used that the sides were extremely worn out and flat. I can understand bad quality towels or a simple breakfast. But having a horrible uncomfortable bed at a hotel/ lodge is something I can not expect.
The location is great, just some minutes away from Andermatt

CanadaThe hotel was one of the more affordable ones in the area, probably because it's a bit like a hostel. There wasn't anything that I really disliked.
The breakfast was very good. There was a nice choice of beverages, a good selection of cold cuts, condiments and great bread. I liked being able to make my own soft boiled egg. The hotel is close to Andermatt, which is where we had dinner during our stay. The room had five single beds in it, though only 2 were made up, as there were only 2 of us. The hotel seemed popular with riding groups. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean and the shower was great. The staff was nice and parking was beside the hotel and we had no issues with access. The views were great.

United StatesStayed at this property back in September 2019 and had an excellent time in my stay and ride effort. Got all but one ride effort completed and was glad to return to this excellent location for that second ride this time around 5 years later in August 2024. Always fun to visit the Uri Valley and had 2 wonderful and memorable stays at this lodging establishment and well recommend to all hikers and cyclists that have a desire to explore this region of Switzerland and the Urseren Valley

LuxembourgThis is a mountain hut style accommodation. It provides rooms with private showers and very basic amenities. There are few small things. But consider that most guests come to this area for outdoor activities and don't spend much time in the room, these little things are not such a big deal. 1. Internet connection in the room is not very stable. Every 1 to 2 minutes, it disconnects for about 10 seconds 2. The windows are very, very small, making the room relatively dark even during the daytime 3. Anyone who had stayed in a mountain hut would know what it means when I say this is a mountain hut style accommodation. The building is not made with soundproof materials, so anyone can hear every movement in the building. The floor makes a lot of cracking sounds when someone walks in the building, and the noise is loud enough for everyone to hear. Since most guests come here to do outdoor activities, starting from around 7am, people would start getting up. For night owl guests, keep this part in mind that you won't sleep well in this place. 4. This place is not fully decorated. The floor and parts of the walls in the room are still in the original raw wood materials. Seems like most of the previous guests walked in the room with outdoor shoes, so the floor is quite stained. I would recommend bringing a pair of slippers 5. The single bed is rather narrow for adults. I almost fell off the bed couple times during sleep Again, the price of this accommodation is good enough. This village is also not the place to come and relax in the hotel, so the above points are not that important if you are outside most of time
The room has a private shower.

United KingdomMichael was most welcoming and extremely helpful. The room was basic but quite adequate for our needs. Michael cooked a delicious vegetarian pasta supper; breakfast was great! Sust Lodge is brilliant for cyclists, like ourselves, as there is a large garage for bike storage, plus tools. The surrounding area is interesting to explore.
