We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Switzerland and enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the evening.

The apartment was very hot and we had to open the sliding doors to cool the place down. I did contact owner asking how to turn down the heat but was told to "open a window". The bedding situation was not to our liking being a loft, which is something we didn't realise when we made our booking. That is really our fault. We are 66 year olds so it was a little difficult getting up and down the stairs into the loft, more suitable to a younger group. There were no shops in walking distance. There was a restaurant nearby. There was nowhere to hang our clothing so we had to live out of our suitcases. Although there was a washing machine and dryer, it is separate from the apartment and used by numerous occupants. Every time we went to do our washing it was being used and were told to use if being used by others. We finished up going to a laundromat in Interlaken. The swimming pool was not functional. We could not get the TV to work properly.

It had a balcony overlooking Lake Thun. Although close to a train line, that was not an issue at all. The place was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped, although we didn't use. It had a fridge. The bus nearby was easy to catch, although it only came every hour (bus No. 60), which you could take to Interlaken West/Ost and Spiez.

It took us a while to find the apartment as the street number is not noted anywhere. Although this apartment is close to a bus, the buses only run hourly, and there is a train line between the building and the lake. The laundry is at ground level, and our first attempt at washing had water running out of the machine all over the floor, as the drain had not been tightened. There is not a lot of ventilation, just a roof window above the bed and the sliding door. As we had rain during our stay, the roof window closed itself. Also, it can't be opened if the sunshade is closed. We had to leave the sliding door ajar for fresh air.

Close to transport with a view of the water, this compact apartment had everything we needed for a short stay. The oven was a dream to use, and there were plenty of pots, pans, and dishes.
