The shower cabin was small. It’s a shame that such a remarkable city tolerates visible drug use, homelessness, and prostitution. I know that in many cities the neighborhoods near the railway station can feel unpleasant, but I didn’t expect it to be so noticeable in Geneva, given the city’s strong reputation.

The room was not very big, but it had everything you needed for a good night’s sleep. The location next to the railway station is excellent when you travel by rail. It was a pleasant surprise that the city provided a free transport card. There are many good restaurants and services nearby.

The primary reason we chose this hotel was it's proximity to the train station for a late afternoon arrival and early departure. It was right across from the station but also within easy walking distance of some pedestrian street restaurants. We had a recommendation from the hotel staff to a lovely Swiss restaurant just a short walllk away.

The bathroom was small: when sitting on the toilet, your feet are touching the edge of the shower cabin.

The smell of cigarette smoke - faint, but detectable.

Fantastic location - directly across from Geneva Cornavin station, where trains and buses are easily available. Everything is at the doorstep - supermarket, restaurants, cafes. The room was small but very comfy: air-conditioner, small fridge, plenty of hot water, toiletries. Very impressed with the non-disposable toiletries, which is more environmentally friendly. Bed and pillows were very comfy. Also had a balcony with partial views and patio table and chair. Very quiet despite being in the city centre, min noise from inside the hotel as well. Receptionist were very efficient and helpful. Facilitated storage of luggage after check-out.

I am giving a 9/10 to this hotel, but there are some smaller things that need to be mentioned: -Hotel: very historic vibe, but some parts need a renovation. -Room: I could not find any blankets.

This Hotel has met my expectations. Let us consider all the pros: -Staff: they were really friendly. Always trying to help and very professional. -Check-in/out: done in just a few minutes. -The Hotel: one of the best thing about this hotel is its location. It is in the very center of Geneva (in front of Genève Cornavin), not super modern but clean. -The Room: small but nice, had all I needed. Comfy bed. -Luggage storage: they were so kind as to keep my luggage while doing some sightseeing awaiting my room to be ready. -Miscellaneous: By staying in this hotel I was entitled to receive a Geneva Transport Card for free. Amazing!

The layout of the room isn't that nice hence make it difficult to open the luggage. I am not sure but I think I paid the city tax by cash upon checking in. However the staff requested me to pay again when checking out. As I didn't remember exactly and didn't keep the receipt, I had no choice but to pay again. My advice to all travelers is, please keep the receipts especially for cash transactions.
