Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

A little bit noisy because it’s close to the main road.
Friendly and helpful staff, a bike wash and excellent breakfast to set you up for the day ahead. Really enjoyed my stay, just sorry it was only one night!

Nice place for travelers and mountain bikers, great food options, real barista espresso drinks, good breakfast included. Very kind staff, large well-designed rooms, access to coworking space, laundry (not self-service), bike storage and nice common spaces

No door showers. I prefer a closed space and good ventilation. Personal preference. Location is, well, easy to find but incredibly in a spaghetti of roads 😅
Super nice staff, excellent local recommendations, large and comfortable rooms. Integrated cyclist shop and coworking space. Was great for an overnight stay and early run in the am.

We stayed at the Story for 1 night over New Year’s Eve. It was excellent. The room was very big for our family of 4 with 2 teenagers and the breakfast was fantastic. We’ll definitely be coming back if we need a place to stay in the area.

Everything was perfect
This hotel is magical. We extremely enjoyed staying here. The staff is warm and helpful. The rooms are spacious, clean, and warm. The atmosphere here is cosy and it feels like you could stay forever.

Story Recommendation - Thusis: We stayed at the hotel for two nights before embarking on the Via Spluga trail. We were greeted by Graham who was lovely, showed us the room, recommended hiking trails, and helped us settle in. Cleanliness: The hotel was as clean as it could be. As it is relatively new, everything was of the highest standard. The shower was pleasant, the toilets comfortable, the room very spacious, and the view from the balcony breathtaking. Breakfast: The breakfast was rich and met our needs. The coffee was the best we've ever had in Europe! The dining room was also clean and new. Restaurant: We had dinner at the hotel and it was excellent. We took the cheesecake on the recommendation of the hotel staff, which was outstanding. The dish came with a large, fresh salad and bread on the side. Location: The hotel is located at the start of the Via Spluga trail, which was great for us! Additional Services: The hotel helped us contact the luggage transfer company for the trail. In addition, the hotel has laundry services and a spacious, accessible, and well-equipped shared kitchen. In conclusion, we highly recommend the hotel. It was a perfect experience! Mainly thanks to the friendly staff.

Staff was in a good mood and very friendly, I was shown around upon arrival, rooms are very modern and nice, I had a drink on the terrace on top with a very nice view. I didn't use the kitchen, but put my picnic for the next day in the fridge, which was very useful.

Slightly confusing that all comms were in German before the stay, but easily remedied by putting it through free online translation tools

Very nice and helpful staff. Very cozy with lots of accessibilities, with a shared kitchen and a Migros 2 minutes away! breakfast was very delicious and included a lot of options. 25 minutes away from the closest ski resort.

No staff after 17:00, no restaurant, app controlled doors. How the f***k do you do if the battery dies on your phone?? Price 250eur and no service what so ever. A price around 100Eur would be more correct for this concrete bunker.

Arrived 7 pm place was deserted tried the e check in -didn’t work, called the phone number on the door for reception multiple times - no answer . Decided to cut our loses and book into another hotel mange to get the last room in the village. As we go for dinner get a call from the Story hotel a full 1.5 hr later asking were we are ! What a shambles.
