Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwitzerlandClean. Nice location, just a few minutes from the train station. Good value for the price. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Recycling bins for PET and aluminium on the floor — very convenient and environmentally friendly.

United StatesIf you come during the Swiss school year, there could be many school groups.
The Sport Resort Fiesch is a huge resort for large groups and individuals with over a thousand beds. It was quiet when we were there in mid July. The check in location was not obvious. From the stop-on-demand Feriendorf train station, walk to the right up the hill. See the sign that says check in/ check out. There is NO check in there. Look left to see the blue sign with the "i" to find the reception. Our private room with bath was modern and looked new. There was no view or balcony. Food was fine at the cafeteria, CHF 19 for lunch or dinner. You must get a voucher first at the reception. The reception has local information and maps. The staff are friendly. There is a shortcut to walk into Fiesch to the station and gondola. It passes by a COOP that is closed on Sundays. There is a COOP Pronto at a gas station below the Feriendorf station. Take the tunnel under the tracks and turn right on a dead end road, then down a grassy hill on a short cut. It sells fewer things, but is open late and on Sundays. We highly recommend the two hour, one way hike to Platta viewpoint of the Aletsch glacier. From the Fiescheralp gondola, follow the hiking signs to Gletscherstube Märjelen via the tunnel. Just before the Gletscherstube Märjelen, turn left on the easy 20 minute hike to Platta.

SwitzerlandBreakfast was very basic. Good enough, but I felt some improvement could be made here given the price.
Generally good. Rooms were clean. Beds were comfortable. No hairdryer or any other amenities beyond the basic (probably you could access these if you asked reception, but reception hours were very limited). It was early March but already felt like the off-season. The hostels were very quiet (which was fine with us). My children appreciated the pool, which was nice. There would be more activities available in summer it seemed. The butter machine was a novelty.

SwitzerlandBeside booking cost here, I was asked to pay 50 CHF per night for "towels & breakfast". This is extortionate rate even for Switzerland. Also, there was no hot water in showers at night. Annoying, if you finish ultramarathon at 4am, and have to take cold shower.
Hostel kindly accommodated multiple staying athletes for SwissAlp100 and had breakfast (very, very basic) ready at 5am for runners.

SwitzerlandNothing to complain, a bit more explanation maybe to understand the „rules“ of the breakfast area :-)
It has everything you need, staff is super nice, and for the price, there is not half a complaint justifiable when looking at the cute little room, clean, tidy and with a comfy bed. Its a perfect location to start crazy adventures from. The concrete town is a bit special at first, but then, as a child, I would have loved it here and I think its a place made for families, kids and younger peops. It has loads of things to do all over the place.

United StatesBreakfast included was very basic, not very good. Lots of school children screaming in halls late. Town was very sleepy. Not a social hostel. I wouldn’t stay here as a family again for that price. I should have booked a hotel.

United KingdomOur room was part of the Hostel building for solo or small group/ pairs of travelers. It was indicated that the resort had kitchen facilities for all guests, however upon arrival we found this is not the case in the hostel accommodation building that we had access to by our room passes. And so we would need to eat out, or purchase food to eat each day in the dining hall. This was not ideal, as we had many hiking and glacier trek plans - meaning our mealtimes were variable and we needed a space to prep food for these trips. Additionally, the facility provides a wonderful treetop activity trail for children and adults; however, this went directly across our bedroom window giving a close view to us sleeping in bed which was a little uncomfortable, and we were not informed of this prior - perhaps the room needs additional blinds, or the trail route to be amended. Alternatively this room could be offered to solo guests only. Overall the resort is a fantastic stay particularly for families and large groups, but considering the prices and available amenities for the Hostel guests, I would have hoped for a better experience.
Staff were polite, and our room was pleasant with very comfortable and clean beds. There were also plenty of storage spaces in the room which was helpful. The shared facilities are all kept very clean and tidy. The location is great, with good access to may outdoor activities and hiking trails nearby. Access to amenities in Fiesch is very easy via the tramway.
