My flight got canceled and I couldn’t make it to Switzerland for this reservation but they wouldn’t refund me. Not the best breakfast. Staff and restaurant weren’t attentive and there were flies in the room. No elevator so definitely make sure you have a request not to be on the fourth floor in a loft like I was if you have a lot of luggage. Also to get there you have to drive down an extremely narrow basically one-way winding road around the mountain, so don’t do it at night.

Beautiful location right on a lake, rooms had wonderful views of the hillside with sheep and cows or of the water. Boats and paddle boards available to rent. Front desk staff were very helpful.

This hotel is in a fabulous location a two minute walk over a very quiet road to it's own private lake side beach area great facilities. Very friendly and accommodating staff.The weather was fantastic but also extremely hot no aircon in the room ,but I have been told aircon is not allowed in Switzerland, but what a fabulous hotel would definitely stay there again.

The top room is hot, if we open the window, there were a lots of mosquitoes, very difficult to sleep. it was a bit difficult to drive in and out, the path is very narrow.

I didn't like the road where we had to drive our car in order to reach the hotel. The road is located on the edge of the lake with a breathtaking view but it is really narrow and we were afraid that a cross car might come and we have to reverse backwards and the road is too narrow to do this.

The hotel was located directly on the lake, the view is literally amazing also you can swim and do activities on the lake, i really recommend it if you looking for something to spend the whole day there, also the surroundings are really warm. Breakfast was with limited options but we had no problem about this. The rooms are clean and equipped with a fan if you are going in summer. Bathroom a bit small and the ceiling a bit low. Also i really liked the receptionist and how helpful they are, we arrived really late at night and they left the keys for us for self check in so than you for them.

The drive from the road is nerve wracking. It’s a single track road (used by traffic going both ways)with few passing spaces and the lake on one side and cliff on the other. Our room was on 4th floor and no lift. Hot in the room with no air con and mosquitoes come in if you leave windows open. Ate in the restaurant once, expensive (as is Switzerland) and even charged for tap water which I think is terrible when the hotel offers free bottled water and coffee daily at a station on the stairs.

Staff v friendly and v helpful. Rooms were excellent and clean, very good shower. Loved the views:). Dining room was decorated so nicely, all small details perfect and cute. We had an issue with TV and staff was so helpful,they called engineer, even it was Saturday night and within 30min everything was sorted, that was really impressive. One of the best hotels where we ever have been !!!!!

The previous reviews do not give the property justice. I hope more people provide reviews like mine, I was hesitant to book when trying to decide on our accommodations because of the mixed reviews. I was so pleasantly surprised by the property, I highly recommend staying at the Seehotel Baumgarten to anyone who may be on the fence.

This hotel was beyond expectations. The owner has done well to deliver a fantastic experience. We were greeted by very energetic and friendly reception staff who made us feel like friends immediately. The road to get to the hotel was very challenging, but the reception made us feel at ease by sharing that it is part of the "charm" of the area, and that the locals would be friendly drivers. They have easy access to the lake, with a private beach, an outdoor sauna and a "self service" bar/icecream stand. The view was STUNNING and the whole staff only added to the entire experience. My whole family came away with positive opinions and experiences.

Nothing I didn't like. The only thing is that was a downside is the fact that Switzerland is quite expensive due to the Swiss Frank. This is however outside of the host's control

The location is absolutely breathtaking. The host is very helpful and kind and even lent us a buggy to take our son to town. She also gave us tips on where to go eat in town and it didn't disappoint. The restaurant on site makes good food and makes it possible to travel with small children. We got our breakfast to take away because we left early. Our dog was also welcome. We were also able to borrow paddle boards which allowed us to have a great family stop.
