Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

DenmarkSome noise in the early morning from activities at the golf mowing and maintenance.
The modern pavilions have direct access to garden which is ideal for dog lovers Parking next to the room is nice Fine terrace at the pavilions - wine glasses in the room would be good.

LithuaniaThe hotel has a main historic building and a few newer bungalows. We stayed at one of the bungalows, and unfortunately it was quite dark inside as it faced west and a mountain in front, so basically no sun throughout the day.
The hotel pool was a pleasure after the morning hikes. Also we enjoyed the breakfast.

GermanyEverything was excellent
Wonderful. A castle. We were made to feel very welcome upon arrival. The reception staff could not do enough for us. The room was old and a little outdated, but very clean, quiet and comfortable. The hotel itself is very well maintained and has a majestic air about it. We dined at the restaurant which is mostly Indian cuisine. And turned out to be one of the best Indian meals we have had. A truly pleasant and memorable experience. Thanks to all the staff.

SwitzerlandSwimming pool wasn't heated, so a bit chilly, but the kids loved it after a day in the mountains
Staff super friendly, swimming pool was great fun for the kids, spacious outdoor area for all to enjoy the garden, BBQ dinner with live music and dancing, it was a really fun night. Breakfast was great and plentiful, which we enjoyed outside in the sun. Great place for families, really nice grounds with trees in the back and great mountain views out front.

SwitzerlandNice location in Bad Ragaz. The room was big, but a little dated and could use an upgrade. The breakfast was amazing, fresh and local products. We would come back just for the breakfast.

SwitzerlandI would have loved to have stayed longer
"We had a wonderful one-night stay at Schloss Hotel Bad Ragaz while travelling home from Scuol. Our family room was comfortable and well-appointed, providing a perfect stopover. We especially enjoyed the wellness centre, which offered a relaxing break after our journey. For dinner, we dined at the hotel restaurant, where a delicious Indian buffet—apparently a local highlight—was served. The next morning, breakfast was beautifully presented as a buffet, offering a great start to our day. Overall, a lovely and refreshing stay!"

SwitzerlandBedding quite hard, which may not be to everyone’s taste. The pillows were quite thin and there weren’t any extra in the room (but I’m sure I would have received an extra if I had asked)
Great location in a park with a nice view to the surrounding mountains. 5min walk to the famous thermal bath. Great starting point for many activities in the neighbourhood.

SwitzerlandVery old furniture and infrastructure in the room (to match the legacy, 'castle' image? Could benefit however from renovation). Also noisy rooms, can hear neighbours walking and when walking vibration sent into the whole room. Unfortunately found also 2 stink bugs (pentatomidae), very unplesant. Too expensive IMHO for the quality offered...unexpected for a swiss hotel.
Location, the historical charm. Parking included. Very spacios room, large terasse. Restaurant with Indian character, a pleasant surprise. Staff friendly, helpful.

NetherlandsNo airconditioning of any kind. Our kids were in the pavilion and they melted. We had brought our own fan and were fortunate. There was very little to eat during midday (normal though in many European countries)
The castle room had nice charm to it. And the location was great. Very convenient for the surrounding areas. Easy parking, nice set in nature. Comfy big bed. Good bath. Staff was helpful and courteous.

United KingdomIt wasn’t really an issue but most of the rooms are chalet style away from the actual hotel. Would be a long uphill walk to the hotel for someone with mobility issues.
Beautiful old hotel just outside Bad Ragaz. Booked to be near the thermal spa which was unfortunately closed but would be very close by if they had been open. Lovely buffet breakfast.
