Although luxury you can tell some of the hotel is dated, but we didn’t really mind this, it was still lovely, but it’s not super modern. We were lucky to get an amazing suite with a huge balcony but I’m not sure if a room at the back would feel as nice, as the view makes it.

Loved the location, amazing view of the lake and our room was lovely. Really friendly staff, nice food in restaurant. Kids loved the goodie bags they were given.

My room on the 4th floor needs renovating. Condition of the room was a disappointment. On the upside, I was on the street side. Traffic noise is blocked and quiet. Electric blinds close easily and give perfect privacy.

One of the best locations in Montreux! Patio areas for relaxing or grabbing a bite to eat have one of the best lakeside views in the area. You are one step from the promenade (walkway) that is adjacent to the waterfront, and the waterfront is gorgeous. Take a casual stroll or walk for miles. Evening time is best. The water calms and the colors at dusk are extraordinary. A pasta dish served on the patio through the bar service is one of the best I've eaten (Tagliatelles & sauce tomate).

This hotel is a beautiful vintage hotel with spectacular views of the lake and mountains. We thoroughly enjoyed the spa and pool and rooftop bar in the evenings. We also loved the artwork and details in the room- right down to the beautiful painted lamps.

The rooms are just beginning to need a little updating e.g. the basin in our bathroom was cracked. We were disappointed with the food and the house wine in the restaurant so we only ate there on our first night.

This is a well established classy hotel with excellent facilities in a superb location. The breakfasts were very good. Car parking was available on site.

Breakfast was pretty disappointing, the worst we had in any of the hotels we had stayed in Switzerland during the 10 days we were there. Not particularly good value for money, especially the European option in the lobby lounge at CHF15 which was very primitive. The American option in the Café Bellagio at CHF30 was better, but still not great. No iron & ironing board in the room, which seems to be standard in Switzerland, even for 4 and 5 start hotels. Unfortunately we had a city view and not a lake view with a private balcony, as were travelling with a child, where cots cannot be accommodated in the lakeside rooms which are smaller due to the balcony, well not within the Booking.com system anyway.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Royal Plaza Montreux & Spa, and it was a truly memorable experience. The hotel’s location is unbeatable—right on the shores of Lake Geneva, with breathtaking views of the water and the Alps from both the lobby and many of the rooms. Waking up to the sunrise over the lake was a highlight of my trip, a fabulous location right on the lake, with a bar and restaurant located lake side, with very large rooms, and onsite parking. Ideal for exploring the town. The room was spacious, elegantly decorated, and spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable, and the amenities (including a Nespresso machine and luxury toiletries) added a nice touch of comfort. Service throughout my stay was impeccable. The staff were friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with recommendations or bookings. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient. The hotel also offers onsite parking.

The rooms and hallways are not refurbished, very old, on our floor the carpet on the floor was very dirty, really not to a 5-star standard, and definitely not worth the 5-star price…

The room had two separate beds on wheels 😭😭😭😭😭. No idea who thought it was smart to put wheels under beds, especially in a 5-star hotel, which makes it even worse. Every time you move, the bed slides with you 😭😭😭😭. But aside from the bed situation, everything else was fine.

The view is amazing, the location is fine, and the food was good as well.

The wifi wasn't too fast and it kept disconnecting often. The shower was a little bit small but the water pressure and temperature was great.

The hotel had a luxurious vibe and great facilities. Even thought we didn't use the pool or the spa they looked clean and well maintained. We walked to the lake area and it was beautiful and peaceful. The food from the restaurants were delicious and great portions. The rooms were spacious and very clean.
