Wow great location looking out onto the reservoir. Waitress exceptional she had only worked there for two weeks but she knew all there was to know and couldn’t help you enough. Such a warm welcome. Room comfortable, we ate in the restaurant which was fabulous food. Breakfast lovely with a good choice. A walk around the reservoir highly recommend.

Small point for improvement: add mosquito screens to the windows

Great view and very friendly staff. I got there on a hot day by motorcycle and they first offered me a refreshment. It's the small things like these. They also had a very good green tea for breakfast

Nothing at all, it was perfect. Tobias is the most wonderful host and communication was great, even before we arrived. We had a lovely table reserved for us, everything was done to make us feel welcomed and we would go back in a heartbeat. It was the quietest and most 'in the heart of nature' of all our stays in Switzerland.

Absolutely faultless hotel on the shores of the lake with an incredible view of the mountains. Excellent restaurant with a good choice of dishes and all beautifully cooked. Great breakfast, eggs cooked to order, lots of creals, fruit, yoghurt, meat, cheeses, fresh rolls and croissants, gorgeous coffee and juice- amazing! Room was super clean, modern, comfy bed. Small balcony with great lake view. Lots of terrace seating, play area for children. All newly done and pristine. Free parking. To top it off, fantastic music playing in the bar, a gentle mix off Bon Iver, Pink Floyd, Cyndi Lauper, Janis Joplin and even Jackson C Frank! Could have just sat there, totally relaxed and enjoyed the utter peace for days...

The only thing that was a little annoying was that the city tax was not included in the booking payment, so we had to deal with that in the morning separately at checkout.

My husband and I loved staying here on our vacation. We arrived in the rain so were unable to use the outdoor seating, but boy it would have been amazing with the view! The hotel is 10 minutes from Glarus, so we drove there for supper that night. The room was quiet and had a nice view out the window of the mountains and a green knoll. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was very friendly. Free parking is always a nice bonus.

Bathroom sink wasn't draining well and when we asked for it to be fixed we were told they couldn't do anything about it.

Nothing to 'not like'. As a small group, we did daily road trips and upon return, we were looking for a place to play games or chat.after restaurant closing hours this was the 'community room' equipped with a bench, table and chairs and one TV, fridge and a coffee maker. Things the bedrooms are not equipped with.

The staff was very attentive and the menu in the restaurant is tasty and reasonably priced. But foremost we were looking for the tranquility and location and got not disappointed.

The hotel is, in fact, a beautifully renovated cottage. Consequently, the rooms are not to big and the balcony has approx. 2 square meters. So the value for money is not the best one (although it seems that, in Switzerland, "value for money" is a little bit … different than the rest of Europe).

The rooms are quite small but brand new and nice decorated. The bathroom is very nice. Location of the hotel is great. Hotel is nice and quiet. Very friendly staff. Free parking and good Wi-Fi. In conclusion : a good choice.

There’s no sunlight in this valley in winter. The mountains obscure it. It’s a comfortable and well run hotel but because no one goes to this valley in winter there’s very few guests. This means that the restaurant shuts at 18:00 and it’s quite dead there. Nice if you like the peace and quiet. Would recommend only going when it’s not winter.
