Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe breakfast booking system is quite frustrating - there is an extra fee for "spontaneous breakfast" that we hadn't been told about in advance. We booked our stay several months in advance, and breakfast was optional, so we thought we'd add it later. On the first morning, we were told that since we hadn't pre-booked our breakfast, it was going to cost 2 CHF per person more (18 CHF instead of 16 CHF), but we could avoid the extra fee by booking in advance. The evening of the same day, we tried to book breakfast for the rest of our stay - an employee checked the system, but then she told us it was only possible to add breakfast for the entire stay, and since we had had one breakfast, it wasn't possible to pre-book for the remaining days of our stay. The day after, we came for breakfast "spontaneously" again, and there was a different employee that again told us we could have avoided the fee if we had pre-booked. We explained that a different employee said it was only possible to pre-book breakfast for the entire stay - the response from the hotel manager was that it wasn't correct, and we could have avoided the fee. He still charged us the fee though. This entire communication about the extra breakfast fee was not welcoming and quite frustrating. There aren't other breakfast places nearby. The hotel breakfast is ok, but, for example, it doesn't include coffee from the coffee machine (e.g. cappuccino) - only filtered coffee is included, and coffee from the coffee machine costs extra.
Location of the hotel is great for sports - it's right by the ski lift. The rooms are called cabins - they are small and minimalistic, but with big quadruple-glazed windows and a lake view. We visited in winter, and the cabin was very warm. The design is very simple (concrete, wood), but practical. There are a lot of hangers that are handy for skiing gear. The ski room is well-designed - with warm air, our boots dried very quickly. Check-in and check-out are automatic on touch-screens, which is convenient.

Switzerlandfunctional but maybe a little too impersonal. need to get used to it. Also, the road can be noisy at night 5.- for a coffee at breakfast is a little harsh and the hotel is quite expensive, even in the very low season.
functional. you get exactly what you paid for (but everything else is extra). View is beautiful and breakfast was very good.

The view from the room was lovely. We saw the lake and mountains and because of the position of the huge window we couldnt see the road.

Perfect location... Beautiful hotel and the window of the room is just unbelievable.... The best view ever. Simple to check in... Just 3 min walking to the sky lift. Right next to the bus stop.

NetherlandsNo real lobby in the hotel. Restaurant serves as lobby, but then you are a customer in the restaurant, not a guest in the hotel. Marketing suggests a cool and relaxed atmosphere, but the apparent stress around the restaurant suggests otherwise.
Loved the no frills 'cabin'. Could have benefited from an ability to make coffee in the room. Location was excellent for sport.

France- No soul, no reception, no welcome, no human touch (it is a self check in hotels, minimum stuff and service concept) - The silly graphics and quotes that are printed around the hotel as marketing, trying too hard to be cool is soo uncool. - Parking not included in price is ridiculous. Extra charges if you want the room cleaned was also unexpected. - Breakfast is ok but soul-less: a robotic machine to do scrambled eggs, seriously! I want a friendly chef that makes my eggs. - No sauna or other facilities missing. - Restaurant and bar closes too early, no life, no chill zone to have a glass of wine and chat. - The road in front of the hotel, did not expect this from pictures, I thought the hotel was on the lake. - Nice bathroom but the lights turns off while taking a shower, as the sensor does not detect movements behind the shower glass door, annoying. - The elevator is tooo slow and the key less door with code is annoying.
- The view, and room, a true memorable experience. The USP (Unique Selling Point) of this hotel. - The simple and practical room for riders, easy to put you gears and connected devices. - The bike room and washing bike facilities - The location. At the start of the bike park and near the lake - Clean, practical. - The staff at the bar and restaurant are friendly and nice. - Food of restaurant is good, quality meat and veggies. - Restaurant/Bar and terrasse

SwitzerlandIt would be nice to have a small desk and/or chair in the standard-size room (the only choice is to sit on the bed or floor). The online check-in for the two separate rooms was a bit complicated and we accidentally reserved only half of the needed breakfasts (the staff reachable by phone helped us fix the problem but it took a bit of time). The breakfast is also a bit expensive for what it is, but enjoyable.
View, soundproofing, location, simplicity (not a fussy place) and great restaurant and all-day cafe with friendly & experienced staff - a relaxed place with teenagers

SwitzerlandTop floor rooms which cost extra actually means top 2 floors which is 2 of the 4 floors. The rooms are very bare, not even something as simple as glass for water. It’s very expensive for what you get. Breakfast has a poor selection. And please for your own sake avoid the seafood options at dinner, they just shouldn’t be on the menu. Because it’s located at Rothornbahn, there’s no restaurant options nearby so you’ll need to travel if you want to try anything other than the hotel restaurant.

SwitzerlandVFM was not good if you don't go there as a skier I think. 250Frc per night is insane for this super basic room without any amenities. The room felt like the kitchenless studio apartment of a super OCD bachelor with zero personality. The bathroom - empty, no bathtub, no cup for toothbrush. The bed - king size, but divided to 2 single mattresses, which is super uncomfortable for a couple. The automated everything - horrible (check in, breakfast machine etc). There is no soul. The staff seemed unhappy. The room was offered to us with early check in, but wasn't ready until 16:00 which is crazy late, especially when. the sun goes down so early. No spa, just a whole lot of nothing. Expensive food for what it is. Restaurant was uninspired, the burger was OK. We will not go back nor recommend it.
The view from the room, the 1-2 English channels.

RomaniaRoom tends to get a bit hot in the summer. An open window hardly did the job.
Stayed here twice, a year apart, and will most definitely come back. It's the perfect accommodation for a young couple or a pair of close mates. Tasteful designs, self check-in&out, young&friendly staff, good food at the restaurant, secure bike/ski room, DIY washing machines etc. - As a (self-sufficient) bike racer and occasional hiker, everything went extremely smooth while staying here.
