The hotel was the perfect mix of Swiss charm with modern facilities. The en-suite shower room was very modern and clean.

Expensive for a 2/3 star hotel. It does not have an elevator, we were on a 2nd floor. The rooms are extremely small and very very basic. At breakfast, which runs only until 9.30, there were some English speaking ladies not friendly at all, and basically “kick us out” one minute after 9.30.

The outside of the house was very picturesque. The Portuguese staff were extremely friendly. The breakfast was good.

You can hear traffic noise from the front, however, it is worth it for the view! Also, the bathroom fan is quite noisy!

My daughter and I had a great 4 days. The breakfast is fantastic , with a choice of different eggs. We recommend scrambled eggs !! It's close to Interlaken West. An easy bus route to Interlaken Ost, or a 25 minute walk. We had a view of the mountains from our room, which was beautiful, and we enjoyed sitting outside in the evenings.Lots of places to eat close by if you don't want to walk very far.

No AC, & our European electronics adapters didn’t work because Switzerland has a different size, but they loaned us a fan, which helped so much to keep it cool, & an adapter, which we very much appreciated!!

The staff was amazing!! Everyone was so courteous, friendly, knowledgeable, & helpful! Since it was our anniversary vacation, they decorated our room with hearts, rose petals, & swans. We were surprised & delighted! The room was beautiful & so clean!! We loved the balcony they gave us (& the fan since there’s no AC). It was a wonderful experience!!

I was told there may not be a parking spot available after booking which was a little bit feeling a parking headache, but fortunately there was one when we arrived. There was no lift. We were a few minutes late with packing for the checkout, they came over to remind us the checkout time is passed. Didn’t feel super nice especially when you are on a relaxing holiday.

During the time of my stay I did not find that the train connections in between Interlaken West and Ost where reliable, there were few trains and they got delayed or cancelled all the time. So I needed to count with the buses which meant a 15 min walk and drive travel to Interlaken Ost. From Interlaken Ost I was able to take a train to the mountain region, 40 minutes of train travel to get to the attraction. This means around 1 hour in the morning and the afternoon to get to the "real deal", the attractions that I was interested in. I did the math and decided to switch locations for my hotel. I also did not like the city of Interlaken at all. The sidewals are small for the number of tourists walking on streets. I visited the city on June and it was already unbeareably crowded for my standards. All public transportation were very overloaded, including buses and trains. They give free tickets for all tourists and they do not invest to provide the good level of transportation services that you have in other regions of Switzerland. I paid swiss travel pass 1st class and this saved me a seat to go from Interlaken Ost to Grindelwald, but many people had to travel standing and most of the transportation in the region do not even have the 1st class. I decided not to oversleep in Interlaken, I booked another hotel in Grindelwald and moved to Grindelwald. By doing that I was able to arrive very early in Grindelwald First, earlier than the first train from Interlaken Ost, and this saved me a lot of lines, I was able to do the fly glider and liner in 1 hour and then see the views and I gained the afternoon to go to Mannlichen and Wengen. Switching the city was key for a good travel and vacation experience.

The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood of Interlaken. The staff is very very friendly, the room was very good, according with my expectations. Within a 5 minutes walk you come to Interlaken West station where you can get (very) few trains to other locations of Switzerland and buses to Interlaken Ost (travel takes about 10 minutes). In Interlaken Ost you can make all the connections you need by train for the attractions in the region. If you like Interlaken and wish to really get to know the city, the lakes, this hotel is a good choice. In my case, I was travelling to go to Grindelwald First, Jungfraujoch, and others in the mountain region. Then I did not think staying in Interlaken was the best choice for me and I decided to stay in Grindelwald and Wengen instead. I was not able to evaluate the other services from the Hotel because I decided to move to Grindelwald.

No mini fridge in room so we couldn't store perishables. Small breakfast range.

Wonderful staff. Comfy beds. Clean. Washer and dryer at facility, which is great. No aircon but totally fine mid summer for us as temps drop at night. We got a balcony room, which was awesome as we sat outside with snacks every day. Overall great value for money, considering the bigger hotels go for 3 times the price.
