Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesRenters should be aware that the apartment faces onto a Main Street with a tram, so it has very loud street noise until quite late at night. This posed an issue for us as we visited during a heat wave, and had to have windows open at night to create airflow. (There is no air conditioning, which seems common). We were disappointed that the listing included laundry access (were counting on it to refresh our travel clothes), but when we arrived we found no washing machine in the unit. Instead, on inquiring, we learned that the laundry was in the basement (no basket available) and what’s worse, we would need to travel 25 minutes each way to the management office in order to collect a card to use it. This felt like intentional discouragement/misrepresentation. Be aware that the apartment will come with no consumables - not even salt or a little oil, which one usually finds.
The apartment is indeed large and it is in a nice neighborhood close to a big park on the lake - perfect for an after dinner stroll. The beds, even the sofabed (which had a foam mattress) were reasonably comfortable, the linens had been ironed, and everything was nice and clean. The dishwasher works well, and basic cooking equipment was included. Lots of windows on both street and courtyard side make it very bright, but there are also dark drapes. The access to the streetcar made public transport from the place super quick and easy! The grocery is also across the street and very convenient. The manager was responsive and had good suggestions when asked.

AustraliaThe wifi works when when it is in the same room but the building constrict the signal severely - a range booster would be very helpful.
I have been traveling regularly to Zurich and this is the best apartment I have stayed in. It is very spacious, aesthetically pleasing and the laundry and kitchen work well The tram stop and supermarket are literally outside the front door. The bed is very comfortable, which is essential when away from home. The neighborhood is beautiful, quiet and great for walking. The host was easy to communicate with and very helpful when needed. Thank you very much :-)

Malaysia1. Communication with the host is a bit difficult, can only contact them during office hour and by phone or booking.com messaging service. Since I don't have an active telephone line during travelling, communication is limited to booking.com chat box only. 2. Washing machine and dryer are located at the basement of the building, and you need a key/switch to operate them. And I have to obtain this key from the host's office. It would nice if the key is made available in the apartment when we arrived.
The apartment is spacious and clean, the location is very good, very near to the city centre. Tram station and supermarkets are just across the street, very close to the lake too.

Nice location near Zurich-see. Easy access to the city center by tram. Some noise from the street and especially the tram. Nice terrace towards the backyard

RussiaBecause of the panoramic windows in the apartment, it can be hot when the sun is shining, the router signal does not reach the bedroom well due to the large area of the apartment, the washing machine is in the basement of the house, but this is rather a problem of all apartments in Switzerland
A huge apartment, the largest I've ever stayed in while traveling, with panoramic windows all over the apartment area

RussiaThe flat itself is kinda meh. There are places that just feel like a cool local friend left you keys from their apartment. THIS IS NOT THAT. It's big, but it's kinda boring and feels a bit like a place nobody really cares about. WiFi doesn't reach the living room. Mirror and pictures hang crooked. All the power outlets are in weird places. Bedrooms is in the corner room and because it's on the second floor it's really noisy. At the same time it's the hottest room in the apartment, so you can't really close the windows during the summer. No A/C because Switzerland. We ended up bringing the matress to the living room and sleeping there on the floor. Because it's cooler and quieter there. It's just full of little idiosyncrasies. There are no supplies in the kitchen, not even salt. The washing machine is in the basement and you have to have a special key for it from the office during working hours, but once we got the key it turned out it works without it. It just feels like like cheap hotels sometime feel, like whoever one's in charge of it never tried to stay there and try it out for themselves. Nothing really bad, but overall a bit disappointing.
Location's amazing, really close to the lake and to the city center, tram stop, supermarket, restaurants. It has a great balcony to have breakfast on. Cool panoramic windows which are a bit of chore to open and close the blinds on, but cool nevertheless. Plenty of pans, plates, cups and utencils. Dimi our contact was very nice and responsive, loved communicating with him. Self check in instructions full and clear, no problems there.
