Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

We were only there for one night so we were a little surprised that the host left notes stating that we needed to clean the floors, strip the beds, and take care of the trash by transporting it to a different location for disposal (which we didn't know where it was). We had no issue cleaning the kitchen after ourselves, but expecting people on vacation to clean the unit for her seemed like a bit much. We were also told to find public WIFI, which is difficult in the mountains. That being said, it was a lovely place.
Wonderful, clean chalet in the middle of the Swiss alps with breathtaking views. The apartment was large and offered all of the amenities that we needed for one night as we were travelling on our way to other parts of Switzerland. The wood burning stove was cozy and inviting. The area offered some shopping and a few restaurants. There was easy parking for our rental vehicle. It would have been great to stay there longer to enjoy the area.

The property is located at some distance from the train station (though bus connections are available). If you have senior citizens in your group, it may take some extra time commuting to the place.
This is a fantastic property just like an apartment with all the facilities. The rooms were very comfortable and the property had everything for a comfortable stay.

Nice , Cosy, Comfortable & Spacious Property, in a Centrally Located Place In Interlaken, Also the Host & Their staff ( Special Mention to Miss Gayatri) Who Helped & Guided us a lot, Since it was our First Trip to Switzerland. The view from the Glass room (adjoining the kitchen) opens up to the Hills Behind is simply Amazing , with people paragliding in the background. The property created happy memories for us & will definitely keep coming back to the same

The apartments were great, lots of space, everything very new and clean! The view from the balcony is amazing! We booked our accommodation a few hours before check-in, and there were no problems with it. There was parking, which was also important for us. Added this apartment to my favs!

he stay was quite disappointing. Heating: The heating system was not working properly. After contacting the host, we were informed that it was set to 10°C. Although a staff member came by to adjust the temperature after we mentioned that a member of our group was unwell, it remained cold throughout the night, and two of the room heaters were broken. Kitchen: Some of the stove functions were not working, making cooking difficult. It was frustrating that essential kitchen equipment was not fully operational. Washing machine: The washing machine was out of order, which was inconvenient for an extended stay. Lost item assistance: After check-out, we realized that one of our group members had left their cell phone behind. However, by the time we noticed, we were already at the airport and boarding the plane. We requested the host to coordinate with our relative who lives in Switzerland to retrieve it and offered to cover any associated costs via card payment, but we received no response at all. Overall, the service and lack of responsiveness fell far below expectations, leaving us feeling quite inconvenienced.

Facilities were not up to the mark. There was no dustbin in the toilet, frayed, not soft towels. In the kitchen to the minimum sugar and salt should be provided, Hot water not sufficient for 10 people. The boiler should be automatic. The guests should not be responsible for the boiler to be functioning properly.
