The stairs to the rooms were steep and difficult to get luggage up and down. The shower rooms are small but still clean and toiletries are provided.

The location is perfect for visiting Zurich. The rooms were large and comfortable, with coffee and tea making facilities.

Everything was fabulous, and we would highly recommend your hotel. We were able to keep our luggage at the Bistro. The location was excellent, with everything within walking distance, including the train station. The bed was so comfy! What we loved the most though was the wonderful staff and delicious meals in the cozy and hip bistro. There are three available rooms, we had Maurice. It's was very clean, neat and tidy. It had lots of character in the multiple floors. Downside for us, being older, lots of stairs, some of the super small, which made lugging luggage challenging. Luckily the young man in the cafe helped us get it up to the flat. Cafe downstairs in top notch, fabulous food and wine and generally classy atmosphere. Location was excellent, the only downside to the location was it's proximity to St Peter's and St Peter's bells, which chime every 15 minutes (day and night) and toll the hour, every hour, day and night. It's both lovely and awful to hears the bells (awful at night when trying to sleep 🤪).

We didn’t receive final key pick up information prior to arrival. Luckily, the bistro was open when we arrived but it would’ve been better to have known in advance (as was advised) of final arrangements as this is not a ‘conventional hotel’. The air conditioner is a welcome addition for summer cooling, but is very noisy.

The location of the hotel is excellent, right in the heart of Zurich old town and a short walk, even with cumbersome luggage, from the Rathaus tram stop. Perfect spot for a city break. Great welcome and food at the bistro downstairs.

Marc was the best host during our two week vacation. He made us feel at home from the moment we arrived and was very helpful suggesting local hot spots. Montmartre was clean and unique. It’s at a great location in the heart of the city. We really enjoyed our time here and would love to return.

Small bathrooms and very steep stairs

It was large and well decorated. The area was close to all the attractions the wanted to visit and not to far from the train station. The bathrooms were small but there were two sinks which helped getting ready in the morning.

Definitely bring ear plugs as the church bells chime every 15 minutes even through the night. The stairs are also steep but this wasn’t an issue for us.

Such a pretty and unique place that had a historic Zurich touch. Very comfortable room, the bed especially. Extremely clean with great facilities and a superb powerful shower. In the most amazing location, up a quiet street near the river and lots of cafes!

As this property is located in the heart of the old town it can be a little noisy in the evening although the bistro downstairs stops serving outdoors at 10.00pm so it quietens down after this. Word of warning about the old town - there are 3 or 4 large churches which sound their bells 4 times an hour every hour so if you're a light sleeper beware. This is unavoidable when staying in any of the properties in the old town. The room is located up a fairly steep stair so if you're of a certain age it might not suit.

We were travelling throughout Europe and staying mainly in large 'hotel chains' and decided that we'd go for something different for our stay in Zurich. The room was huge with a compact shower room and separate WC. Breakfast was available (for an extra cost) at the bistro downstairs and was excellent. If you want something different then this is for you. We stayed in the room known as 'Josephine'.
