Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomWe came to Saas Fee for the marmots and so couldn't help but stay in the Hotel Marmotte. Both the marmots and the hotel delivered! We had a cosy room with a stunning view of the mountains, which was highly enjoyed. Being vegetarian we are always on the lookout for good food options but didn't have to go far as the meatless burger on the hotel restaurant is stunning. We also got a complimentary coffee in the family's nearby coffee shop just for staying in their hotel. A rejuvenative place to stay with wonderful service and friendly staff.

SwitzerlandSome things were not comfortable- no bedside table was very annoying, and the table in the room was tiny, making it uncomfortable. Also had to put the kettle on the floor which was annoying. The breakfast was very small, the selection was very little I think. Like for cold cuts, you got handed 2 pieces of cheese and 2 pieces of meat. But maybe it’s because there were very few guests in the hotel, so I won’t be too hard on them. I went in the wrong season (May) and everything in town was closed which was really frustrating and definitely affected my experience. Getting to the hotel was a big hassle, it was a long walk from the station with the suitcase on cobbled streets and uphill. Luckily there was a free taxi provided the other way, which was nice.
It was cozy and spacious, the design was nice. I like that there were shelves to store things. The Marmot decor was super cute! The staff were very friendly and helpful, they helped me to find the Marmots and gave me carrots.

Fabulously well-located, quite close to my conference venue and excellent value for money! The staff were super helpful, sending the 'car' to pick me up and dropping me back to the bus station.

SwitzerlandThe mattress was not the most comfortable, it was too soft. There was a wall clock whose ticking made me a bit nervous. If customers appreciate to have a clock in the room, I’d suggest to change the type.
The breakfast was very good, the hotel has a restaurant for dinner and the food is just delicious.

really good place to stay. Very central, with excellent restaurant. Most of the staff were absolutely lovely, cheerful and helpful. Breakfast was very nice, but disappointing to have to pay extra for an omelette. The skiraum near the Alpin Express was a great asset.

SwitzerlandThe double bed has 2 narrow and not very comfortable mattresses. It would be a big improvement to just have one and comfortable mattress... The room was a little cold. The decor needs some improvement to make it cosy.
The staff are very helpful and friendly. They picked us up from the parking lot with an electrical van to take all our ski equipment. Clean hotel with good views from the room. Big room. Nice breakfast.

SwitzerlandNot enough sockets on the room, view to the wall of a nearby hotel and a bit noisy in the evening when there is someone near the entrance to the hotel.

SwitzerlandNo complaints at all.
We stayed here for one night at the start of a hiking trip. The staff at reception were very friendly, the room was comfortable. We thought the breakfast was excellent, with a lot of choices. We particularly enjoyed the selection of unusual home-made jams, such as the one made from tomatoes that doubled up as jam and chutney. The location is perfect, within 5 minutes' walk of the village centre.

United KingdomThe shower was in the bath and the position was rather awkward, it also kept sliding down the pole so I had to use a hair tie to keep it up! It was also really difficult to lock the balcony door as it was very stiff; I wouldn’t have managed it on my own.
Great location in Saas Fee; minutes walk from everything but in a quiet area. Everyone in the hotel was really friendly. We ate in the restaurant one night and the food was excellent. Lovely room and lots of space on the balcony (view slightly blocked by cranes but this is not the hotel’s fault and thank goodness there was no construction noise). We had a great stay.
