The actual rooms were spotless, but a little sparse. Not a problem for us as we only used them for sleeping.

Staying at a leisure centre was a first for me, but I was not disappointed. The swimming facilities on offer are absolutely first rate, absolutely pristine and virtually empty! There is a 25 metre lane pool, a diving board area, a separate large kids pool (and baby area), a fantastic heated outdoor pool with mountain view, and a modern safe & engaging water slide. Our kids 13 & 15 had a brilliant time. The on-site restaurant is very very good, with a wide menu. We stayed for two nights and ate there twice. There isn't a lot to do in the local town, but we did do a 3 hour walk up the nearby Fronalppass for exceptional views of the valley.

The rooms are a little empty and hollow, probably for kids camps, but they’re good enough for a short stay.

We arrived after check in time, it was dark and there were no members of staff present on site. The key was left in the key safe. It seems this is normal in Switzerland. We also had to pay an unexpected tourist tax! which meant it wasn't such good value for money. Shared bathroom facilities were a major disadvantage, people don't have the same cleanliness standards one would wish for, felt like being in a school dormitory. There was a sink in the room however.

Lovely, new modern facilities. Breakfast was nice and staff were friendly and helpful. Beautiful, serene surroundings and free transport on local buses was an added bonus.

There are no curtains on the windows so if you like to sleep past sunrise, bring a mask! Also no kettle for coffee and/or tea.

Quite a strange place! It felt more like a bunker meets dormitory than a hotel. The bathroom is very basic, also very like a university dormitory style. It’s clean and the beds were comfortable. I can’t comment on the facilities as they were all closed. It was really disappointing to be told that after we had booked, we went there specifically for the wellness part and pool. The A/C worked well.

On the downside, the room lacked some amenities, no bedside tables, the extra bed was just a mattress on the floor, and there were no hooks in the bathroom. Still, the fantastic pool more than made up for these small inconveniences.

The pool at the hotel is absolutely amazing – warm water, water massages, and a fun slide make it a real highlight. The restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful (thank you for the great tips on what to see in the area!). The surroundings are also beautiful and well maintained.

I just wanted somewhere with aircon and this was much better value than the options that were closer to Lake Lucerne. I managed to procure ice cubes. A member of staff went to find me a trolley to bring my things to the room. Beds and bedding nice enough. Some rooms have a good sized desk and surfaces, which I asked for and got.

For somebody arriving on foot or by rail, property was a long way from town centre. However, given that it is a special sort of hotel dedicated to team training for different sports, it’s likely that most people would arrive with their own transport.
