The view from our room was exceptional. While enjoying the tranquility of the countryside, the centre of the village is very close. The hosts were very welcoming and accommodating.

The only thing that was a bit difficult was the lack of kitchen facilities. There is only a kettle and fridge with some cutlery and tea available. No sink or microwave which made it a bit harder in terms of meals, however, to only stay for a few nights we made do with supermarket foods that needed no prep.

This hostel was a great place to stay in Grindelwald, the breakfast was really good with lots of variety and a great coffee machine! The hostel was very quiet which was nice and the views out to the mountains were incredible.

A family hostel , they work hard to get the things done , a very organized lady and a very responsive gentleman, they have their own way in managing the business which I really respect , location and room view is charming , if you are looking for a central location in Grindelwald with a fair value for the money comparing to other accommodation options in the neighborhood, then this is your choice

I booked a single room here at a price I was really happy with — and it turned out to be such a lovely stay! When I arrived, the owner had even placed a little Swiss candy on the towel, which was such a sweet and thoughtful touch. The room itself was small but cozy, with everything I needed: a space to hang my clothes and a large drawer that could store so many things — I loved it! It helped me keep everything tidy and easy to access during my stay. The shared bathroom was always clean and had a pleasant wooden scent. It was rarely crowded, so I could use it comfortably at any time. The fridge is on the ground floor and, if I remember correctly, available between 15:30 and 21:30. I didn’t notice that at first and tried to use it in the morning — but the owner was super kind and immediately opened the door for me without hesitation. Breakfast was also delicious and surprisingly varied. My favorite part is the little colorful peppers and cucumbers — I had never tasted anything like them before, and they were absolutely amazing! I only tried them on my last day, and honestly, I wish I had sooner. Every day I spent here was warm and happy. I really recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and homely stay. Oh, and fun fact: I even ran into the lady owner while hiking in Männlichen — lovely coincidence!

The bottom sheet on the beds were pretty coarse. Didn’t really bother me, but my wife had a hard time sleeping because of the feeling against her skin. A simple bottom sheet would help greatly.

Hosts were wonderful, fresh breakfast and beautiful views. Great location as well. Clean rooms and the shower had great water pressure.

1. No hair dryer. The weather in June is already very hot, so even if there is no air conditioning, fans should be provided. 2. Because it was very hot at night, we had to sleep with the window open, but since it was near the mountains, we were bitten badly by small mosquitoes.

The location is good and Mountain View is great. Good breakfast.

What not to like? The breakfast was amazing with so many good choices: lots of different types of coffees, breads, cheeses, fruits and more. The atmosphere of the whole place was so cozy. The room was perfectly cleaned and the shower was very hot! The staff was very friendly to us as well. The location is spot on! Right on the Main Street of the city, real close to amazing restaurants, souvenir shops, the Grindelwald First station and 5 minutes from a Coop and the Grindelwald train station, which was super convenient. And the view from the hotel, absolutely breathtaking!

There is only one wash machine available in this town and takes two bus stops to get there. You must be luck enough to get clothes washed.

You may see their effort to make everyone's stay in a good quality. As long as there is no crazy people on the main street, this place is very quiet.

The stay at the hostel was lovely. The view of the Eiger from the balcony of the room is breathtaking! And the rural landscape, with the clusters of houses climbing the hills at the foot of the Eiger, is beautiful! The Swiss breakfast is delicious, with fresh bread and produce from the garden. The place is super quiet and you can hear the birds singing at dusk and sunrise. A stay in Grindelwald at the friendly Lehmann's Herberge hostel is unforgettable!

The hosts were very friendly and helpful, they recommend places to visit, paths for hiking and local restaurants. The room was clean with all the necessary amenities. Breakfast was of good quality. Excellent view!
