The property has been affected by poor local planning so walking out to town requires traversing stairs and a busy road.

The quality of the breakfast does not match the quality of the hotel and the restaurant for dinner. Most of the AAA bed and breakfast have better options than this hotel, so I believe that a small improvement of the breakfast food options could go a long way.

The room is gorgeous, still decorated as back in time. Bed is comfortable, the view to a local gorge is delightful. The restaurant is top notch for dinner, with amazing food and service.

On our arrival the hotel manager was very welcoming. Beautiful spacious room, comfy bed, good bathroom. The evening meal was delicious , could not fault it, well worth the expense, special mention to our Italian wine waiter ( apologies did not get his name) . Very soothing waterfall sounds at night. Breakfast was also delicious and plentyful. Lastly the gorgeous well behaved dogs in reception! X

The hotel is wonderful. The location is a bit outside the town BUT there's a very regular bus service.

Stayed here on numerous occasions and I simply love this small boutique hotel. Staff is super friendly, I love the deco and location. Breakfast is just perfect. I will be back again :)

there's almost nothing I didn't like really, I guess one little recommendation I would do is to have some eggs cooked, because it was a bit of a challenge for me to boil my own egg just because I wasn't sure of the machine works, but this is not the fault of the owners, because it's all fresh eggs and you can cook as you like, but amazing food and everything else.

the place is an older home, so it's very nice, the owners are very nice. Breakfast is good, it's a beautiful place to stay, very close to central places.

It is a little distance from the city center, but there is a bus that you can ride for free and it comes every 20 minutes.

I don’t understand why this property isn’t a perfect 10?? So quaint, huge rooms, comfortable bed and lovely staff. And the trail behind the property and wheel are icing I the cake! One of the best places we have ever stayed!!

Restaurant was expensive in our view but options in the town are a bit of a way off. The hotel is in the middle of an industrial estate.

Interesting building which has been beautifully restored. The room was clean and had a great modern shower room , but we thought the bed was too low. Our room was right by the water mill and we found sleeping difficult. We went to another room whilst in our stay and it did not seem so much of an issue at the front of the hotel. All staff were very kind and helpful. The evening meal was good and clearly a destination for locals. Free tickets supplied by the hotel for the bus into Neuchâtel was useful as it is at least 20 minutes uphill from the lake. There were also discount vouchers available for attractions in the area. Good , easy parking outside. Breakfast included which was a nice bonus.

It was a little difficult to find our way to the hotel, even with a GPS. Perhaps some additional directions for the last mile or two approaching the hotel.

The historic building, as well as the grounds, were stunning. The room was beautiful with lots of historic character, and it was big. We took advantage of the restaurant, which had stellar service and delicious food - a treat! The breakfast had a wonderful selection.

The noise from the waterfall may disturb for some people, but truly, my wife is very sensitive for distraction at night , had a good sleep there ….

Very nice place to stay.The room was spacious, facing to the river ( the waterfall didn’t disturb us, but you can hear a little noise in the room). Chef restaurant was great! Costs but worth it.The old water mill is nearby and we had a nice walk there after the breakfast.Breakfast was good, very best croissant😉
