It's a former monastery - the bathrooms are down the hall but that's not a problem.

What a delightful hotel - living for a night in a monk's room in this ex-monastery. Parking was good, the staff were helpful and friendly and best fo all, we were able to take advantage of a cancellation and eat dinner in the garden rastaurant.

Located in front of the station, the hotel is on a walled property with a small orchard, flower garden and lawn. Very good traditional restaurant on site. Design and facilities are in line with the history of the building (Kloster). Also, free on site parking.

Very close to the Goetheanum, a sweet walk ! Great breakfast! Fresh soft boiled eggs! Staff is very helpful. Loved my upgraded room . Beautiful garden view. The full moon shines right into your room! Highly recommend for students of anthroposophy!

Th staff corresponded with me throughout the reservation and even to see if I had arrived. The room was spacious and faced the back garden and restaurant. It was quiet and peaceful. Wonderful light from large windows and a curious curated selection of art and objects as part of a Curatorial series. Mine was the Literarium" curated by Sandra Lowe. Pretty cool idea. Elevator made it easy with luggage. Directly across the street from the station (train/tram) but it quiet because Swiss engineering. In-House restaurant is great - ate in the Garden. Kind waitstaff. Its a chill vibe.

Be aware that the room has no bathroom, because the original architecture of the monastery is preserved. However, toilets and shower were very clean, so ok.

The hotel is set n a former monastery, and one can feel the atmosphere of tranquility and peace. Everything was clean. The bed was comfy and the room was quiet. I liked the rural location, but close to public transport, free parking and a restaurant on the site. The staff was nice too. The room overlooked the nice garden. I will return

Woman’s shower on second floor could be cleaner. Was a bit smelly and moldy.

The lack of ensuite facilities was a little disconcerting at first but we understood before we arrived that the age of the building meant private bathrooms could not be provided. In the end this was not an issue and it did spoil our stay.

I thought the room had been paid for in advance, but I had to make the payment when I left.

The location was right next to the train / tram station, so very easy to access. I had no trouble with the noise from the station. The bed was extremely comfortable. The original flooring and old furniture gave the authentic feel. There were a couple of interesting concerts in the adjoining chapel which were worth attending as well. My room was very close to the shared bathroom which was convenient, and there was always a shower / toilet available when I needed one. The range in the breakfast buffet wasn't huge but it had a bit of everything.

The WiFi was not working all the time perfectly, but that’s probably because we were in a corner room. It didn’t disturb us really, that’s just something we observed.

I just had to get used to having no sink in the room. However, shared sink, shower and toilet facilities were clean, modern and comfortable.

A breath of fresh air. Very nice hotel in the center of the village, supermarket very nearby. Spacious rooms, great shower. Big lush garden to sit and relax or order a meal. Pet friendly, no charge. EV charger in front of hotel. Excellent place.

Beautiful historic building, with lots of ambiance, and all the amenities that you need. The shared bathrooms are big, very clean with excellent spacious shower facilities. The location is perfect just across from the train station, and there is a large parking lot if you have a car. The staff were friendly and very helpful.

I was upgraded to a beautifully large room with a view, such a nice surprise! It was all clean and convenient and accommodating but still preserved the charm (and, to jy senses, very pleasant scent) of the monastery lifestyle. Showers and bathroom all in tip-top shape, breakfast included and more than okay, and all very elegant and accommodating especially for the modest price I paid. Excellent connection by train and tram to Basel SBB. Would gladly come again!
