Not suitable for those who have joint issues, as too many stairs to climb. Problem with the upstairs toilet sink, which we sorted out ourselves; but the team was informed at the office.

Nothing not to like, except that the apartment is up three flights of stairs (one outside and two more inside.) That should be noted clearly in the listing (rarely is however.) We knew from the listing details that the balcony was off the upstairs bedroom, as opposed to off the downstairs kitchen, so it was not a surprise. But, if you don't read the listing carefully, you might not notice that.

Very easy to pick up the keys as the management office is on the way to the apartment from the train station. The apartment was extremely nice, comfortable, clean and well supplied. The view from the balcony was outstanding! The balcony was also very well supplied with dining table for four (and umbrella) AND comfortable seating/couches for four. The location of the apartment is great, just a few minutes walk to the cable car to Mannlichen which was one of the highlights of our trip. It was so beautiful up there and a fabulous playground if you have young children!

Only suggestion would maybe be some simple directions for how to use the washer. We tried google translate but it wasn’t accurate.

This is a great apartment in a great location. Clean, comfortable and with amazing views. It is situated right in town and a short walk to shops, restaurants and the train. Due to train issues, we arrived at 1:30am and were easily able to navigate the directions that were proceeded to us. All went very smoothly-would stay again on a heartbeat

A little off the main path can cause a bit of labour also for big bags as no lift on Property. Also the hall has no view. Only the bedroom upstairs had a breath taking view. The bedroom upstairs has bunker beds. Our kids being adults could still fit in but a lot of creaking each time any of them turned sides. 😀

1. There were about 4 flight of stairs to get to the room but it’s worth it for the view 2. Warm shower water may run out if used too much (but that is already mentioned in their guide book on how to solve it)

The only thing, and quite a minor thing is that it would be great to have a wider shower curtain in the downstairs shower.

There was just nothing about the place. Yes the upstairs is a heat trap but you can quickly dissipate the heat by opening the porch door and the skylight windows in the upstairs bathroom. Yes the first floor is a bit dark but there are lights and it is nice having a different space to relax in, especially if you need a nap from all the hiking. The deck is the jewel, those views that you can comfortably enjoy with the furniture on it are magical, good weather or not as some of the bad weather is also quite dramatic to see. The neighborhood is great as it is far enough from the train station to be quiet, plus you get wonderful smells from the Italian restaurant just in front as well as nearby bakery. I cannot review this without sharing that Wengen Apartments provides a remarkable support before and during your stay answering questions, having a smooth check-in & -out process as well as providing information on things to-do while you are there.

Very homely, comfortable, well appointed, and convenient for the town and train. Fantastic views from the upstairs balcony which is also a sun trap.
