We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.

SwitzerlandThe air conditioning was broken in the room. Only the one in the living room worked. We were forced to leave the rooms open to cool down the apartment. On contacting the host company,they too were unaware of this. The lift was working but it took a bit to figure on how to make it work always

SwitzerlandI believe that price is a bit too high for such apartment, considering capacity and no breakfast - 640chf for 2 nights. I am travelling a lot so would expect for such apartment to reduce price a bit, then will back with pleasure as location is fabulous. Elevator was not working and there was no info about that in advance Mattress in living room is a bit used, for longer stay not for my back :) - please consider replacement
Fantastic village, apartment located in the central point with beautiful view on lake and mountains - first line. All what's needed in apartment. Fantastic restaurants around - no need to search, just step in or book table and you will be in 7th heaven :) Parking close to apartment, but you can also chose boat or bus to get there.

United StatesLIES - the entire apartment is NOT airconditioned. I was gaslighted when asked about this. The AC control in the bedroom is not connected to the electrical wiring... why? Even so, they stated that the apartment is in fact airconditioned since the ac works in the living room. <-- textbook gaslighting. But it doesn't cool the bedroom with the "hard as a rock" bed. I had to purchase a fan and keep the window shades shut to keep the house somewhat cool. ALSO... the shower would overflow into the bathroom and create a huge MESS. So, we had to take showers where we could only run the water for 30 seconds at a time. When I told the management about this, they asked if I wanted to be fixed/resolved...really? And they NEVER sent anyone out to fix it. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
