How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The smallest bathroom ever. Air conditioner was useless and they gave us a fan but it was so noisy.

I only stayed for one night, but I felt the room décor looked a little dated.
The room was spacious and beautifully decorated, with very comfortable beds and pillows that ensured a great night’s sleep. The location is excellent—just a quick 5-minute tram ride from Zurich HB. From booking through to checkout, the entire experience was outstanding. The staff were exceptional—communicative, welcoming, and very accommodating. They offered a late-night check-in by leaving the key in a locker, which was not needed in the end, and they even helped us recover a pair of lost glasses after we had already checked out, which we later collected from reception. Overall, a truly wonderful stay.

It was fairly warm during our stay (around 30⁰) and the air conditioning struggled to cool our room.
Location was good, only 4 tram stops from the central train station. The kitchen facilities and fridge in the room were very handy. Good laundry facilities

The quadruple room was very spacious, with separate areas for the shower, toilet and sink. The room included also a fridge and a microwave.

We really liked the hotel, but the first night we were a little confused getting there even though it’s not far from the center of town. The hotel gave us directions, but we ended up coming from a different area since we went out for dinner before arriving. It’s a little bit of a walk uphill or you can take the bus. Once we got the hang of it, it was easier.
We had a wonderful room with views from two sides. The room was very comfortable with blackout curtains and even the option for air conditioning if needed. We had a little side nook with table with a kettle for coffee and tea. The hotel felt safe and clean. The staff was very helpful before entering our stay. They patiently answered all of our questions. Near the hotel there are a few bakeries, including ones that have amazing vegan options! We’re happy we stayed there!

Great location near tram to get into the city. Room was really nice, hotel had lots of features like free tea and coffee in the foyer and an ice machine! Access to kitchen if you wanted to cook your own meals.

The hotel is fairly close to the old city, but a bit on the "wrong side" of the river, at least for us.
Very nice, clean/tidy small hotel. We had a spacious and quiet room facing a quiet street/alley behind the hotel - the tram line is on the same street with the hotel, which makes travelling around the city easy, but the rooms facing this street could be more noisy.
