The main drawback to visiting is realizing that your wherever you currently live pales in comparison to the beauty of being in Murren!

The hotel, the staff, the rooms, the view- everything is top notch! Sandra was so friendly and welcoming. We were anxious about our first major trip with our young son (15 months) but everyone was wonderful! The hotel is perfectly located near enough the train to be an easy walk, while far enough away to feel quiet and secluded. The restaurant was very good. The terrace is perfect for an afternoon drink or ice cream. Truly, a fantastic location.

The beds were two singles pushed together with a hard frame between the two mattresses. Each bed was comfortable but the arrangement didn't allow much togetherness.

The view! This is a great hotel to stay in Murren. Just five minutes walk from Murren BLM train station. The location was just outstanding. We walked the whole village and this was one of the best location in Murren.

The view was outstanding. I booked a premium room and the room had wall to wall view of the mountain peaks Eiger, Monch, Jungfrau and Gletscherhorn. You can see a number of glaciers. The building was on the side of a sheer cliff over the Lauterbrunnen valley. Our room was three floors below ground level and both the room and the bathroom was spacious. Murren is a beautiful village in Switzerland.

The breakfast is very poor. For the price we paid we were expecting a decent breakfast like all other hotels we stayed in Switzerland.

Room was very warm, but we were able to open the door to our balcony to cool off. No fridge in room, but shared fridge available.

We loved the view from the room. The windows opened directly into the valley filled with clouds. The view was exceptional. Overall service, staff and cleanliness was excellent.

The breakfast was great! Had a good variety of breads, yogurt, cold meats, and cheese. The staff taught us how to eat our boiled eggs with the egg topper our first morning! The location was excellent. It was central to all of the things we planned to do during our stay. Getting here was not bad at all. The views were absolutely excellent. We highly recommend eating dinner at the restaurant just once for the view of the Alps. But if you need more reason to go the fondue and schnitzel were excellent!

I can't think of a thing!

The room was enormous with a spectacular view! The bathroom was exceptionally large as well with a delightfully large shower. The food for breakfast, lunch and dinner was delicious !

Spectacular location. Just wow!!! The views from the terrace and from our balcony were just stunning. Friendly staff. Comfortable room with a great shower. We had a panorama balcony room in the new annex which we highly recommend. We ate at the restaurant every evening - unfussy but very tasty food. We had excellent weather while we were staying and this was a marvellous place to return to after a day of walking.

The property has an excellent location on the top of the cliff overlooking the Lauterbrennen Valley, and an easy walk from the cog train station. The room was ample in size and the bed and pillows were comfy. The breakfast buffet was delightful. Staff was friendly and helpful in recommending hikes.

Loved the views from the terrace but missed the traditional wood terrace in place of the concrete or other materials that give a colder less traditional cozy feel.
