There were bunk beds. Luckily for my husband and i, we were able to have the 2 lower ones. The top bunks would have been dangerous for us. The breakfast was delicious The showers were excellent

Perfect location opposite the station and a bus stop. We had a good sized room with a washbasin. The shared bathroom was nearby. We opted for packed lunches and dinner each evening- these were good value and filling. The staff were friendly and helpful. Easy to travel around the area using the excellent local transport and as a bonus the hostel gives you a free travel pass which includes cable cars etc. A great area for hiking and for enjoying the wildflowers.

Location was perfect! It is in the opposite of the train station. Bedroom was comfortable and has lockers (you'll need CHF 2 as a deposit). Bathroom and toilets are clean. Breakfasts offers lots of option.

When we checked in, nobody let us know the situation about the Wi-Fi. We found out the next morning that it’s very complicated and we never were able to access the service because the reception desk closed down fairly early in the evening. That should really be improved ASAP. The rest of the experience was very fine.

In a bad luck week, we got awful people in the hostel at the same time we’ve been there. Very unpleasant, bad educated and dirty people. The refrigerator was disgusting.

The location is perfect and very nearby St. Moritz.

Straightforward youth hostel room with shared bathrooms. All very clean and as one would expect. Great breakfast in the morning and very close to the railway station. We were able to store our luggage free of charge on the day we left in a locker.

For a youth hostel in the youth off season, I thought it was expensive. We marked that up to being in Switzerland.

What we like the most, the gracious and friendly concierge who shared her knowledge of Pontracina with us in the most engaging manner. Also exceptional was its location next to the superlative Italian restaurant in the station Hotel, Ricardo's, where are the salads, pasta, and service, by Roberto, were exceptional, one of the best restaurant experiences we have had in Switzerland. My room was large, having four beds for just the Two of Us, and it had a sink. Not to be dismissed, the hostel was right next to the train station that facilitated our day trip to the very foggy turquoise-lake Bernina pass. We greatly enjoyed the cogwheel train trip to Murottas Muragel.

The pricing is more of a Swiss culture pricing issue. Low for Swiss standards but still not low enough for me. There was a large booking with children and that wasn't as pleasant during breakfast. It would have been better when I extended in person my stay the first time, to give me the same rate as I found on booking. So when I extended the second time, I I had to go via the app.

The reception staff is incredibly friendly and very helpful. Always a smile and the answered all my inquiries with care plus willing to go the extra way.

Reception doesn't open until 4pm, so if you arrive before then you have to wait. There are lockers to store your luggage, though you need 2 swiss francs to lock the locker.

Great location directly across from the train station. There is also a bus to St Moritz right next to the train station (5.60 francs one way without any discounts). The hostel is clean and the rooms are a good size. Helpful staff. Great breakfast. There's also a nice common room with a refrigerator and microwave, as well as books and games. Dinner is a good deal, though there is a grocery store in town if you're looking for something cheaper that you can microwave. People of all ages in this hostel. Nice, friendly vibe.

Inflexibility

Didn’t have the opportunity to visit. Weather forced flight cancellations and we didn’t arrive in time. Hostel wouldn’t refund, so we kept the room reservation.

Not a lot, the 6 bed dorms are mixed- just to be aware as this wasn't totally clear to me when i booked

Breakfast was yummy, food was reasonably priced for lunch and dinner. We had friends come from other hotels who ate with us.
