Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomThe bath/shower/toilet all poor and in need of a refit. Bath fittings rusty and not clean. Toilet tiny, with a bizarre arrangement of two doors, one into bedroom and one to lounge. Party below in village square played very loud music until 2am on the Saturday night. Balcony only gets morning sun, not afternoon or evening. Lounge floor tiles badly cracked in many places. Toilet floor tiles had odd holes in them. Towels were grey and thin, only 1 large bath towel provided along with a smaller one for the second person. No heated towel rail to dry damp towels on a wet day. The washing machine is not in the apartment but on the ground floor, shared with other apartments. Not all of the photos are representative of the current appearance of the property eg the sinks in the bathroom are different. We were very disappointed and have no idea how the apartment merits a 'superb' score on booking.com, the one we left behind in Zermatt was just so much better every way. There were a lot of hidden costs compared with the advertised price, cleaning fee, service fee and guest tax on top, adds 20%. All apartments need cleaning, that should be part of the standard fee and this was not as clean as it should have been with grime along the floor/skirting board line, as well as the bath fittings.
The kitchen was well equipped and the lounge/dining area spacious and light, if the net curtains were drawn back. The location was convenient/central though see point below re noise.
