Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Super nice host! Provided free wine and chocolate. The location is super, almost ski in from Gemstock. Close to all restaurants. Great wifi. Really nice dishwasher. Great TV with youtube built in. There exists a locker / basement to put skis in

Just 1 pillow each and the tiniest pillows ever - super inadequate! There were more tiny pillows in the cupboard but no pillowcases. The mattresses were super soft and the bedsheets quite rough. The sink in the kitchen didn't have a plug and there was no washing up bowl.
Good Location next to 2 restaurants, close to the bus stop and Co-op. Apartment super clean and generally well equipped. Spacious apartment.

Everything was great.
Lockbox right outside the front door. The directions provided easily got you to where you needed to go, the box was labled and was not hard to operate at all. We used the lockbox when we left the apartment to ski so we didn't all have to return as a group and no risk in losing the key.

No washing machine inside the apartment. It’s downstairs at the entrance of the building

Unfortunately the entryway to the apartment is located next to the smoking area of the Spycher Restaurant (,which, by the way, is a great place for a drink and a pizza after a day's skiing). A minor complaint, from two non-smokers.
The apartment was spacious, clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped and the coffee maker was great. The apartment is also ideally located between the lifts for Gemstck and Andrmatt. We really enjoyed our stay.

Clean, good space, good supplies, great location, comfortable, nicely decorated, felt like home, great for families, unique, fairly secluded, and host gave good instructions.

No microwave but we’re easily able to do without it.
Great kitchen that was well stocked. Great position in the middle of Andermatt. Helpful host. Great coffee machine. All facilities were great.

Very comfortable and clean. Nice touch having a bottle of wine upon arrival. Easy arrival and access to apartment. Plenty of room. Nice kitchen amenities. location is equidistant from both gondolas and centrally located close to multiple restaurants. Coop market is only a 100 meters or so down the street. Owner was very responsive

As we travelled by car the lack of a car park space meant we had to pay to park the car.

The only issue I had was the internet kept cutting off and on. I sent a note on WhatsApp (we communicated on this app before the trip and I said this would be the way we could communicate as we are from America). She never responded to my IM on WhatsApp when I asked her how to fix the I ferner or if it was a known issue. I would have expected a response.
Location was great to the train station. The hosts thought of everything we would need at the apartment including cooking and eating items in the kitchen. The beds were comfortable and it was very easy to get the keys.

Only issue was the lights in the stairwell don’t work so at night you need your phone light.
Great location in center of town. Restaurant downstairs was fantastic. The apartment was clean and comfortable.
