The room was quite warm at night without air conditioning but a fan was provided however it was noisy. This is to be expected in Switzerland in summer.

For a single room it was a clean, modernised and a reasonable size. Enough room for my bag and to walk around it. For a quiet room ask for a room at the back of the property. Tea/ coffee was also available in the room. Breakfast was more than adequate and quite a few choices cereals, fruit, cold cuts breads and croissants but no hot food except boiled eggs. The hotel was in an ideal location. 10 minutes from the train station and in the middle of the old town and was perfect for seeing the city. I’d stay here again.

My room was very small at the top of hotel but probably because it was a single. I would book a double the next time.

The room can be quite hot in the summer. The only tiny fan does not help. There is a sharp climb on steps on the only quick way from car park to the hotel (other routes will take you longer than 15 minutes), so could be an issue if one’s luggage is heavy.

It’s located in one of the most popular street in the old town. Our room is actually bigger than we expected, and you can feel that the hotel has tried to renovate such an old building to a modern standard. We cannot hear any noise from the street below. The staff has been very helpful in telling us where to go for sightseeing and sorting out our discounted parking ticket.

Damage to part of shower area which originally looked like dirt / muck. Whilst staff were very willing to see if they could clean it to me shows poor maintenance procedures. Very noisy street outside, I had thought Switzerland had a noise curfew after 10pm but both nights we were kept awake until 4am with music outside. Lastly breakfast options limited and service slow.

The day we stayed was national day of Switzerland, there are a lot of people eating/chatting on the street making a little harder to sleep

I would like to have known how noisy the street outside the hotel is. The bars are open untill 4am!

Very noisy street (in a good way the place came alive in the evening and was buzzing) but we couldn’t sleep with the window open, and it was very warm. But we were there at the weekend so it may not always be like that.

Friendly staff, central location, clean room, comfy bed & ear plugs & plug in fan available. Parking is not far way.

The acoustics. The street somewhat carries sound and with an open window, you’d say you’re sitting in one of the restaurants, not on the third floor. Closing the window cuts the noise to a surprisingly low level, but Summer nights could mean warm nights. This however comes with the location and that makes the tradeoff well worth it.

Fantastic location, decent breakfast, friendly and accommodating staff, pillow menu! Would recommend.

There could be a nespresso machine with capsules in the room . I also missed having water in the room and had to go out at night to find a bar that could sell me tap water !

Nothing in the hotels control. No AC but provided a fan. There was a metal band playing which could be heard but ended relatively early.

Right in center of old town. Also had a flat fee for public parking. Staff, especially man who greeted me were exceptionally nice.

Instead of the room I had booked, they gave me a small room with 1 bed. There were 2 of us. They changed me soon after.
