We had a great 5-night stay here. Robert is super nice and hardworking. The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable. We had a car but often took the bus because it was SO convenient and reliable and got us everywhere. Breakfast was delicious (and abundant!!). My family and I had a lovely time.

Not much amenities in the room, no glasses, cutlery, kettle etc in the room. Not many restaurants in the area. The value for money is ok but then Lucerne area is expensive.

The room was good size, and was close to the bus and train station to travel to Lucerne in 15 mins. Breakfast was limited and served on the table. Rob was great and very helpful.

This was a wonderful old hotel run by Robert - a 7th generation hotel owner - very clean and tastefully decorated, Robert and his staff have thought of everything to support the guests. Location was exceptional with great public transportation to Lucerne and the surrounding areas. Breakfast was superior. The room was large and well equipped. Wonderful stay and definitely a repeater in the future.

The only drawback is that the hotel is close to the main street, so quite noisy especially if you need to open windows. All else was great.

Classic Swiss hotel with ancient origin. The host was extremely friendly and made every effort to make our stay good. The continental breakfast was very nice and served at the table. Location is great with public transportation very close by. The lake is also close with possibility to swim.

The things that could have been improved are the lack of window screens to guard against mosquitos and bugs entering the room. There were 3 windows and only one of them had such a screen. This is important in the bathroom because it has no exhaust and you have to open the window to breath :)

Breakfast was amazing. Hot bread basket to your table and tailor made to your preferences. The staff were amazing (that's rare btw) and tried their best to make the stay memorable. Service stands out. The smell of old wood furniture was captivating (the building is a historical monument). Even the room cleaning was excellent

The rooms were spacious and airy, with excellent Wi-Fi service. Mr. Robert kindly provided us with the Luzerne transport card information in advance, which made getting around so convenient. My family need to go to station early due to Train time, Robert provide use breakfast for take away. Thanks you Robert

I had trouble with the shower set up as I kept knocking the flip tap altering the water temp and pressure due to the shower curtain closing in on me. The noise from the road is noticeable when the windows are open (we had a room on the front corner) however not a problem with the windows closed.

Historic guest house over 180yo with friendly staff and great European breakfast. The view from our room towards Lake Lucerne was great.

The bathroom was small

A perfect location, just a 20 mins by bus from Lucerne station, the rooms are big and the host is very friendly and helpful. It's just opposite to the bus stop, Meggen Kreuz and a 3 mins walk to the Meggen station.

Nothing negative but if we could make a suggestion it would be to have a kettle in the room just for basic tea or coffee making.

The location was excellent — both a bus stop and train station close by. Robert was a fantastic host — gave us great recommendations & was very helpful & responsive! The cleaning service of the room was also very good!
