The room was very small. The neighborhood it was in was a bit unsettling. When you opened the window, strong food smells came in from outside.

The rooms need deep cleaning in all aspects, the shower area is completely mouldy making it unpleasant to use it. There is dust deposited here and there, the shower panel was broken, I had to change the room, the door of shelf under sink is broken. The housekeeping is a concern here

Its in central location, the property offered free coffee to the guests, they have grocery store which is open always to pick anything when required.

Reviews said it was in a very good location, but I found it to NOT be in such good location. It is north of the main train station but NOT a close walk (it is close to the train tracks but not so close to the station). I ended taking the tram from the main station to a stop about 3 blocks from the lodging. It is also NOT so close to the old town, river and lake. Another issue was the lights in the room: only the entrance light worked. There was a bulb above the bed, but it didn’t work and there was also no switch near the bed. The fan seemed to be a small A/C unit, but it was really only a fan and it was hot on the days I was there. It helped but did not cool the room much. The entrance to the lodging is through a convenience store. This is not something I disliked but it did surprise me. Finally, it is clearly indicated in the description that there are no lifts, and I was on a fourth floor so it was lots of stairs. But the stairs were wide so it was NOT as bad as it could have been.

Excellent value for money! Room was good with good bathroom and small fridge . It was also fairly quiet. I arrived earlier than the check-in time and they DID give me a room, so thank you. Even though there is no lift, the stairs are not too high and are wide.

Worn. Rough clientele in the convenience store that is the reception. No ac, heavy traffic outside, and restaurants’ noisy ac’s. Very hot in summer.

Close to the central station. Clean enough. Good beds. Modern locks on doors, we felt safe. Sweet staff that speak English. Enough sound-isolated Windows. Many interesting restaurants in the neighborhood. Water from tap drinkable.

The area around the hostel didn’t feel the most comfortable, and it could get quite noisy until late at night. The cleanliness could have been better. Also, since there was no elevator, carrying luggage to the upper floors was a bit challenging.

The hostel was located within a 15-minute walking distance from Zurich's main train station. The check-in process was done inside the supermarket located on the ground floor of the building. There were food and drink options available in the surrounding area.

Room was smaller than most I have stayed in Europe. Bed is a single, so beware.

To get an early check-in I accepted a fourth floor room. My choice, but it was quite a walk to and fro up the stairs. It is a little unusual to go through a convenience store to get to the room but it does give you access to snacks when needed. The location is in a nice neighborhood and close to mass transit. Close enough to walk downtown if need be.
