Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomCheck in was poor. The mobile system didn’t work for me. Fortunately the staff at the hotel were able to help me. However as a woman travelling alone I would not stay here again due to this. The cost was extremely high for the room and stay.
The room and all communal areas were very clean. The free coffee machine was super. The staff at the nearby hotel were very helpful.

United StatesPrepare to do some phone typing in the street for entry - not optimal if it's cold or raining! I had done pre check-in and payment online but still had to enter booking details on my phone to get in the door. On tiny phone screen interface I was confused about the entry for dates of stay (you were supposed to highlight including the departure day), so it could not find my booking and I had to go to hotel (lovely staff who fixed my entry so I had electronic key). Later we met someone standing there trying to enter her credit card details for the city tax, to get her booking processed.
Great value in central Zurich. The location next to main railway station, tram lines and main bus station for tours is excellent. 20 minute walk to the restaurant street Niederdorfstrasse and Polybahn funicular. There is a great Lebanese restaurant and a mini market on the same block. Lift and free coffee in the lobby were appreciated. The room was minimalist but clean and comfortable.

All you need is a swipe on the phone. We haven't seen staff there but there is coffee and tea at the entrance. Basic and efficient.

Location.Location and location! We need a place to crash for the night before catching a train next day and Fred’s was perfect for that. Its a tiny room, with three single bed and a modular bathroom. I was not expecting it to be that small, but for a single night it was okay. Property was generally clean, however, there were some hairs stuck in and around the bathroom areas that were likely missed by the cleaning crew. Comfortable beds and easy checkin.

United StatesThere was no a/c and it was hot. I realize a/c is not normal in this area so fans would have been very helpful. I was traveling w/ my adult sons and the only option for a triple included a bunk. One of my son's is so tall he cannot fit in a twin [or bunk] if there is a footboard. A bunk is disappointing for needing to get up and down throughout the night -but arriving at 2am...at least we didn't have to make many trips to the bathroom in the middle of the night.
Very comfortable mattresses, very close to the train station. Hotel reception open all hours! Liked · This was a last minute booking when we couldn't get where our reservations were scheduled thanks to many delays and ineptitudes of the German trains. We arrived at 2am and I was pleased with how comfortable the beds were, that someone was at the front desk reception at that hour, and that it was so close to the train station so it wasn't difficult wheeling luggage here. Typically, around train stations there is a less safe vibe but that was not the case here. Felt safe. If we ended up in Zurich again unable to move further due to the hour [almost happened due to the Italian train strike] I would have tried to get a room at this place again.

TurkeyOne of the few positive memories from what turned out to be a nightmare trip to Zurich. I’d especially like to thank the kind Asian gentleman at the hotel (whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch due to my early check-out the next morning) who went out of his way to help me get to the hospital after I became seriously ill. I'm truly grateful for his support. The hotel's location is excellent—within walking distance of Bahnhofstrasse. The rooms are a bit small, but for Zurich and this price range, it's quite reasonable. I would consider staying here again.
