On the other hand, we are sorry that you were not completely satisfied with the room. As for the balcony, we will be working on improvements to enhance privacy in the coming months. Regarding the lounge area inside the room, it is available when booking larger rooms such as the Deluxe or the two apartments—it simply depends booking the category that suites your needs. Dear guest, Our property is located on a beautiful hillside, about 10 minutes from the center of Grindelwald. We clearly mention this in our description because the location is one of our greatest strengths: here, you can enjoy peace, tranquility, nature, and an unbeatable view of the village and surrounding mountains. Guests choose to stay with us for exactly that reason – to escape the bustle of the center, while still being just a short distance from all conveniences like the train station, shops, and restaurants. We fully understand that every guest has different needs, and not everyone values the same things. However, it's difficult for us to understand complaints about the location when it is clearly stated before booking. Our philosophy is simple: everyone chooses based on what they are looking for. And we are happy to welcome those who seek a stay surrounded by nature, with a unique view and the right distance from the busy town center. Good evening, Thank you for your review. We would like to point out that cleanliness is one of the main strengths of our property. Every day, after the rooms are cleaned, management personally carries out a thorough inspection of each one. We can assure you that there were no traces of blood in the room prior to your arrival. We also rely on an external laundry service that provides us with clean linens three times a week (on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays), ensuring high hygiene standards. In any case, the sheets were replaced the following morning after your report. We’re nonetheless pleased that you appreciated the property, as shown by your request to extend your stay. Good morning, thank you for your review. In the description of our hotel, it is clearly stated that we are located on a hill, about a 10–15 minute walk from the city center. We always recommend arriving either by car, taxi, or bus number 122, and definitely not on foot. Our location allows us to be surrounded by nature, in an oasis of peace and tranquility. Of course, there are several hotels in the city center, which are certainly more central than we are, but they do not offer our magnificent view, nor the peace and quiet — instead, they are surrounded by cars and noise. We are genuinely sorry to hear that your stay in our attic room did not meet your expectations and caused you and your family discomfort. Room 31 is, as correctly stated, located in the attic, and its particular charm lies in the traditional sloped ceilings typical of alpine architecture. However, we understand that this layout may not suit everyone’s preferences or needs, especially in terms of headroom in certain parts of the room. We do not intend to mislead guests — our photos and room descriptions clearly indicate that it is an attic space with sloped ceilings. That said, we will carefully review our online listings again to ensure they are as clear and transparent as possible. Regarding temperature and ventilation: while our hotel, like many in the region, does not have air conditioning due to the usual mild mountain climate, we do provide a fan in every room. We regret that this was not sufficient during your stay and acknowledge that very hot days can create discomfort — we are already discussing possible improvements with the property management team for future seasons. As for the insects mentioned, we will look into this and ensure that proper screens or solutions are in place to allow guests to ventilate the room without inconvenience. We are sincerely sorry to hear that your experience negatively affected your physical comfort. That is never our intention. Had we been informed of your discomfort during your stay, we would have done our best to offer a more suitable alternative or help in any way possible.
