I would, without doubt, stay at the Hotel des Alpes again!

On one night of my stay there was quite a lot of noise early in the night from I believe an adjoining room. However, this was in no way the hotel’s fault.

The location was absolutely first class, my single room had a view straight out onto the Chapel Bridge. However, the two ladies running reception during my stay were a credit to the hotel. Not only were they knowledgeable and helpful, but both went out of their way to accommodate my attempts to speak German, showing both patience and grace, and taking the time to speak slowly and clearly, and even teaching me new words. Between them they made my stay a pleasure, and if I hopefully one day return to Luzern, I will certainly book in with at Hotel des Alpes again. Thank you all so much!

    Smallish shower. Nothing else.

Lovely hotel in a great location very close to the Chapel Bridge. The staff on reception were friendly and helpful so we enjoyed our stay here. The room was a good size but the shower a little small. Comfortable bed and very clean. Nice bonus was the voucher for free drinks at the hotel restaurant.

The shower floor felt uncomfortably slippery unless you put the cloth bath mat on the shower floor.

Ideal location, excellent breakfast. The room was a bit small and warm.

The weather was very warm and some fans worked better than others, making it uncomfortable for sleeping. Not possible to keep the windows open due to the noise from the streets. My son's room didn't seem to have a plug point for the two point European adapter we brought from the UK but ours did so we managed. We were given vouchers for breakfast but were charged extra on the first and last day, even though we were later told that we had credit left from the overall total as we hadn't used all of the value of the vouchers.

Perfect location on the lake and a short walk from the train station. Rooms were clean and well maintained. The breakfast al a carte options were fine for us and our two nights stay.

nothing here stands out to me as something that I did not like. We really enjoyed our stay. I would stay again.

I enjoyed the staff being so helpful. We were able to check in early and got a room upgrade. It was stunning location and very close to the train station which made leaving early in the morning easy.

    Really nothing!

The location of this hotel is 10/10, only around 10 mins walk from the train station and the Chapel Bridge was right at the front. You can really walk everywhere to see all tourist spots. The breakfast was outstanding, fresh and delicious. Staffs were friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, bed and pillow were very comfortable. There was a very posh restaurant at the hotel and a pub next door which made it very convenience.

The hotel is on the expensive side, and the restaurant prices were also quite high. Unfortunately, the service we experienced from one waiter felt a bit disengaged, which impacted the overall breakfast experience.

Ideally located hotel, our room had a direct view of the Chapel bridge (Kapelbrug). The hotel has 3 stars but we would give it 4. It was really nice and clean and comfy. The reception lady was great and very helpful.
