Wasn’t told reception and breakfast across the street. No coffee or water in the room. Restaurant staff not especially friendly.

It was a little cramped in the room, we had 2 lamps but neither worked, it didn’t matter to us because we didn’t need them, however if they are provided then at least make sure they actually work. Bed was very comfy and large, excellent shower and having the tea/coffee outside in the communal area worked well.

Although pricey because it’s Switzerland, the breakfast was very good. Plenty of variety and the staff were exceptionally helpful, always making sure we had everything we needed.

There is major construction happening right next to the boutique side of this hotel, which obscures the road and encroaches on the sidewalk and patio area of the boutique hotel side. We were not given instructions upon arrival that reception for hotel is on opposite side of street, so at first quite confused. I think this property should explain better that when booking that there are rooms in hotel building where reception is and situated along the Rhine, and the additional ‘boutique’ rooms are in building across street.

The staff were helpful and pleasant.

It is an old building and at night the floor woods are making sounds when you walk around your room.Second thing,it is not mentioned during our booking that the reception will be at the other building and unfortunately the other building for the reception has also another Hotel Name(Hotel Kraft).It makes us wonder and explore all the sides of the building just to look for the reception🤦🏻‍♂️

It is really near to nice tourist attractions.You can actually reach the beautiful sceneries by walking.It is really a clean hotel.

We have a 1 YO and the place is just very noisy… It is also older than on the pictures so the blinds don’t really close (we had to change room because in our initial room they just did not work at all), the crib we got was just old etc. I received a ton of German emails before arrival but this then omitted where the check-in is (need to get keys across the street). Again fine but just all cumbersome if you arrive in the evening with a stroller and a bunch of luggage.

Great location (super super central!) Convenient, large and clean rooms. Breakfast is in the hotel across the street and is nice. Probably best to do without small kids.

The location is in a nice area of Basel very close to the Rhein , with nice little Cafes and restaurant. ( A bit tricky to find) Only 10 min walk away to the city centre. The room itself was not very big, but high quality interiors, very comfortable bed, the bathroom was very spacious. The weather was extremely hot for beginning of September. We struggled a bit with the nights as we only had very warm down feather duvets without AC. Couldn’t open the windows because of the outdoor noise of the bar on the ground floor and the main hotel on the opposite side of the narrow road. It was a shame that we only spotted the coffee and tea facilities outside the room on the corridor when we departed.

Problem with electricity, in our room we needed to unplug one of the lamps. Not enough sockets, none near the bed.

initially couldn’t find the entrance (it’s in the main hotel over the road) and many stairs to get into the main hotel was tricky with the pram

we booked the studio room and it was huge! perfect for staying with a young child, able to put them to sleep and still enjoy our evening in the “living” side. massive bathroom and bath too the staff was so friendly and welcoming
