How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

On the downside, the bathroom walls have mold. The advertisement mentions private parking is available for a fee and with prior reservation, but it does not state that the garage is only suitable for small cars. This should be made clear in the listing, as I specifically booked this apartment for the parking facilities. Getting a parking place was quite a hassle. There is no microwave and lift.
The apartment is clean, the beds are comfortable, and it is conveniently located near supermarkets, public transport, and restaurants. Communication with the hosts was also very good.

Some dishes were not clean, maybe a dishwasher could solve this, it really shoud not be a problem to buy one for this rental price. A lot of information to put in the form for the online check in. No airconditioning.

The biggest issue was the parking near the apartment.. if you have a car then you must go through the hassle of getting a permit. No payment booths for this area. No washing machine as well as no microwave in the apartment.

Limited parking space as they were redoing all the blue spaces in the road. Not their fault though!

It was quite hot & their were no fans. Also we were a group of 5 but only got 4 towels. Also the road going to the building was a challenge.

It was slightly dated and not much within walking distance other than to get the tram.
I thought the beds were comfortable and it was in a pretty decent location between downtown and the airport in Zürich.

Needs a renovation, for the price it was a bit run down. Outside access to apartment very bad at the moment with street construction. Damaged my luggage wheels due to uneven and gravel ground access.
Good location for Halle 622 concert hall. Comfy beds with nice bedding and towels. Helpful and responsive hosts.

We have to carry heavy luggage to upstairs.
We stayed in three places in Switzerland this time, and this one is the one we are most satisfied with. It has a large space and a well-equipped kitchen. The transportation is also convenient. The terminal of Route 14 is the apartment, but it still takes 10 minutes to walk. There are two supermarkets nearby. . Getting to the airport is more convenient. Two hosts are nice to answer our questions. Thanks!

It was far from the city. Trips took 80€ round trip to get to city. Rooms had bare minimums. One of the rooms on 1st floor flat had an odor of cat urine.
The rooms for the most part seemed was clean (see below exception). It was almost 1/2 the price that 3-star hotels were.

Parking is a bit of a challenge. It would have been good to know there was construction on the road The only thing I missed having inside the apartment was an international outlet adapter for our devices. Otherwise, I had everything I needed.
It’s very clean. All organized well for guests. Easy to find the key. I appreciate there were fans in the rooms and soap and sponge in the kitchen.

Only 2 things I would like to comment upon here. 1. Cleanliness - after arrival we noticed cobwebs in some small areas of bathroom and kitchen. And whoever lived there previously had left a big bag of empty beer cans, which were supposed to be disposed before our arrival. 2. The ceiling lamp in the living room was not working, for which the standing lamp in the corner was an alternative, but we found about it a bit later.
Right from initial communication with property owner/manager everything went absolutely perfect, the apartment, the rooms, the location, the facilities, everything. We have had a very comfortable stay at this property. Detailed instructions were provided by the owner/manager regarding how to reach, where and how to find the keys, garbage disposal etc.

We didn’t have hot water one morning, but it was repaired by the afternoon. It was an ongoing construction in the neighborhood.
It was in a nice suburban neighbourhood, had a nice park behind, public transportation was close by. The host gave good directions and was available.
