They didn’t have our booked room type available when we checked in but at least they offered compensation to remedy the situation.

Clean and comfortable with a great location near transport and the lake front. Decent breakfast with a couple of hot options.

The room had a very odd smell to it. Not entirely bad, just odd. Like too much cleaning product, possibly masking something. Maybe laundry soap with a heavy scent. If I had stayed more than a quick night it would have bothered me. The overall hotel could use updating, and a really good clean. It smelled a bit smoky (cigarette) in the common areas and just had a tired feeling. But overall ok.

Location was excellent and there was free parking right outside the hotel, which is rare in Switzerland. The breakfast was above and beyond what the normal meet and cheese plate with hot scrambled eggs and sausage. The bartender was super friendly and cool.

No drinking water in the apartment. In my opinion it's too expensive, but I know it's Swiss...

The staff is very welcoming. The place was very accessible. The view from the 4th floor was exceptional.

Carpet made the room feel dated although it was very clean. Breakfast was ok and no air conditioning made it a little uncomfortable on hot nights

Great location. Brunnen was a lovely quieter area with enough going on but not the busyness of Lucerne. The lake was beautiful and beaches on it to swim as it was scorching.

The only thing I didn’t like was the room had no kettle, the hotel had a rule of no boiling of water in the rooms and had a geezer in the foyer for everyone to use. For me it would have been more useful and convenient to have a small kettle in the room instead of having to go down to the foyer all the time which could be very busy with people wanting hot water.

The property was centrally located in a pretty lakeside area with lovely restaurants. It was very clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Lift was broken but not their fault. It needs tea and coffee making facilities in the room. It had a fridge but no water or glasses.

Breakfast is fine. Half board is very good value although the menu is set. The restaurant is next to the hotel. There was a party Saturday night at the restaurant but the sound proofing was very good so barely heard it.

The price was a bit high if related to the overall hotel level, but of course Switzerland is always very expensive..

The room was small but acceptable. It was appreciated to have the toilet separate from the shower, so that one person could use the shower while the other was using the toilet. The view from the window, overlooking the internal courtyard, is not at all nice, but the advantage is the total lack of noise, so that there was no problem to sleep with the open window, as is necessary for cooling down the room in summer, having no air conditioning. In addition, the personnel was very kind and the breakfast good quality and varied.

The halls, lift and reception areas look a little tired.

The room was very hot with no chance to lower the temperature other than opening the window. However, by doing that I heard some noisy hotel guests. Also in the morning you wake up from banging doors from other guests

we got to the breakfast 40 min before the end and no one was going to refill the fried eggs... we were surprized to get all our food frozen in the morning, because some smart person put a freezer instead of mini fridge in the room (angry)
