We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

AustraliaBrilliant place, check in process is very easy and hassle free. Parking is also easy to find very close by. The views separate this from the rest with a panoramic view off the Swiss alps ! Phot is actually photo from the balcony!

SwitzerlandThe flat was not cleaned as expected and smells musty. Especially the bathroom was not clean, above all the toilet. There were still marks of urine under the seat. The owner was informed and apologised the following morning but no cleaning was offered. The wall bed is in a desolate condition. Slats are missing from the bed frame and the bed cannot be folded up. The owner was also informed about this. His statement was that nobody has reported anything yet. (However, an attempt was made to "repair" it with replacement slats, but they did not fit and lay around). Furthermore, both beds make disturbing noises. The underground car park of the hotel costs CHF 11 per day and has limited free places. The free car park is about 100 metres up the hill from the hotel and can be occupied. Be aware that you are staying in a old hotel buidling with guests and the rooms are not well insulated. The professional pictures of the flat and reviews have deceived us. The price-performance ratio was not ok for us.
Super view from the balcony and the balcony is very well furnished with a large table. Kitchen is very well equipped and makes a renovated impression.

United KingdomWe had booked for 4 people. When we got to the property there was only the double bed. When we got in touch with the host they told us that we had to make up our bed ourselves. After i posted my review, the host got in touch with me with a very rude manner and said this: Hello. Your comment is shameful. I hope I never have to host guests like you again. Giving it a 4 because you had to take out a duvet cover and open a sofa bed is really over the top. But anonymously it's easy to say this kind of thing. Congratulations. I thought that as a customer i was allowed to leave an honest feedback but obviously this host is not very professional. She has made me feel very intimidated and i am not sure that i will leave feedback to booking.com again. Surely this is not acceptable by such an established company. It really ruins it for the good hosts out there.
The view from the balcony was the only amazing thing in this property
