It’s a small, family-run hotel with beautiful views and very friendly service. Besides a lovely breakfast with local breads and cheeses, they also have a jacuzzi, sauna and steam room! My balcony had a view of the mountains and the village dotted up the hill. Only 5 min walking to the train station. Perfect location, quiet, clean, right in the village. Def recommend!!

Everything! -You are basically in front of the train station (almost) -The room was comfy and quite big -Breakfast was great -Everyone working there was super friendly and nice And on top of all that the views are magnificent! Worth every penny.

10/10 hotel with a stunning view to Eiger. We stayed here for two days, and were so good taken care of by the friendly owners of this beautiful hotel. We got the best hiking tips for mountain parts that are not so crowded, and will forever remember the spectacular nature and views. I can highly recommend a stay at Hotel Caprice.

There were flies in the room when we first checked in. Water pressure from the sink wasn’t strong. No nets on doors so we couldn’t air out the room without bugs getting in.

Beautiful view of the mountains. Breakfast was excellent. Very friendly and helpful staff. They set up a very cute bed with roses for our honeymoon.

It’s in the pricey side. Though you’ll get what you pay for. No variance in breakfast, but not a dealbreaker. The fresh breads were amazing.

I love Everything! I love Hotel Caprice. The location is perfect, near the train station but you won’t feel it too close since it is higher. Lovely views! Very cozy anywhere you go in the property! Regula and Alex (the owners) run the place perfectly and are very accommodating. Alex’s photography is amazing! Wanted to go for a Milky Way photo session but the current conditions didn’t allow us to. Everything is personalized. You know that the owners are very passionate in running the place. Daily newsletters with weather, tips, sightseeing, tours and all, are available in breakfast. Staff are very accommodating and attentive to your needs. We felt the warmth and passion poured into this place. Will definitely book here again.

We loved the place. The room was spacious with an amazing view off of the deck. The owners were kind and the breakfast was delicious. If you are lucky you might get to pet their adorable dog.

The bed tends to sink in the middle - which is slightly uncomfortable. Otherwise, everything else is wonderful

Breakfast is something I look forward to every day - good spread and wonderful hospitality along with bonus view. The view on the deck was also amazing with glorious view of the mountains. Its a wonderful way to just wind down after going to different sites for the day. Previous reviews mentioned about lack of a kettle. it seems that the feedback was well received and I do have a kettle in the room - so convenient to make tea and hot beverage. This hotel has been my best stay throughout my Switzerland trip - just wish I have time to use the spa facilities. Highly recommended!

There was nothing we didn’t like so to speak. The beds were quite hard but this wouldn’t deter us from booking again or making a recommendation. The hill down was hard to navigate on the mornings, especially when we checked out with luggage only because it was very icy and slippery. Any other weather this would have been no problems and the hike up/down wouldn’t be an issue as it was brief.

We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Caprice for a few nights while recently exploring Grindelwald. The room was a decent size and enough for us to spread out what we needed to. It was lovely to get some fresh air on the balcony each day and take in the breathtaking views of the mountains. Breakfast was a great selection in the morning and was a good start to the day. Location was excellent, being across the road from the train station and also only a five minute walk into town. The spa and sauna facilities are 10/10 and I wish we used this area on all days during our stay, not just the last one. I feel like this is a real hidden gem and should be marketed more 🙂 Thank you for upgrading us to the Eiger room, what a wonderful surprise on our trip that was not expected.

The hotel paths to the street were a little tricky underfoot for my parents who travelled with us, but this is unavoidable during winter snow. Pillows not great

Right near the train station. Just off the end of the main Street but really quiet overnight. Fantastic breakfast and lovely hosts who helped with everything we needed. Spacious rooms and comfy beds.
