Someone was up all night moving furniture around above our heads maybe a communal space which was difficult for sleeping. Staff were a little unfriendly and seemed to just want us out the way maybe just not that confident?

Lovely location in the old part of town and a very interesting building. Loved the garden at the back. Bed were comfy and it was very quiet externally once everyone had finished at the bar next door. Very safe for a single mum travelling with child.

We stayed in a room above the staff smoking area, as there is no air con we had to have the window open, we found that we couldn’t keep it open as we were getting all the smoke into our room. As they worked till quite late at night it was constant . This made it quite uncomfortable for us.

I loved the unique experience of staying in a converted prison. It was a convenient location walking distance from train station. Staff were friendly , enjoyed some drinks on the bar down stairs. We caught the Bernina Express from the nearby station . I would definitely recommend.

Really cool hostel. Loved the bunks with the little curtains for privacy. Basoc room but thats all we needed. Very clean. Nice little kitchen and nice lounge area. Great location.

It was a small but comfortable room, with all the facilities we needed. They have designed the space really thoughtfully. The location was perfect and we loved being able to get a drink just downstairs and sit in the courtyard.

A brilliantly inventive redesign of a prison into a hostel! So clever! Done with style and humour. Lovely courtyard and garden spaces as well as communal areas and kitchen. Very clean and comfortable. And very friendly and helpful staff. Easy walk from train station and town centre. Fairtrade tea and coffee in kitchen too 🙂

We were very impressed. Good facilities.,amazing views. We had a family room with a double and bunk beds for three nights. Kitchen well stocked so easy to eat in, essential when taking in how expensive it is to eat out in Chur as a family! Staff were very friendly and always willing to help. Highly recommend the onsite bar/restaurant. Great staff and food and we thought best atmosphere in Chur.

I could not fault the property.

Such a cool place to stay. The beds are comfortable and the room is clean. The owner was so nice. We opted to join the pub crawl activity and had a blast.

I think some better signage from the train station could assist travellers. It is far to walk, but well hidden.

Very exciting to stay at a unique venue, beautifully converted and with very helpful staff. We loved the 4-person room for our family, spotlessly clean, delicious breakfast in a well-stocked kitchen, delicious coffee, games in the communal room and table tennis in the back yard. I just wished I had booked it earlier rather than peak rates!

Lack of privacy when curtains open.

Location was great, easy walking distance from station. Chur is easily walkable anyhow. Room was basic as expected but fine for a 2-night stay. Bathroom was great, good shower etc.
