We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

RussiaThe host of this place Otto is a very energetic, hospitable and generous person. He tries not just meet your expectations, but exceed them, that’s why we felt like very welcomed guests. Otto picked us up from the train station, drove to supermarket in Visp, and he also offered to drive us to nice cosy restaurant in mountains but we decided not to go and relax in lodge. We had everything - fridge full with food, Lindt chocolates and drinks, 2 big TVs with Netflix, nice terrace, great sound system, comfortable bed and as a present to bring home - bottle of champaign. It was great stay and we hope to return again! Thank you, Otto!

We had the absolute pleasure of staying at Black Rock to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. It was top notch from the get go and didn’t disappoint in anyway. Otto the owner certainly pays attention to detail. He met us promptly at the accommodation with a bottle of wine, fully stocked fridge and detailed explanation of how to operate appliances, sauna, etc. Everything was spotless and quality built, which made for a very comfortable stay. In addition, the location is spectacular. Nestled in a mountainside close to Zermatt and Montreux it makes for a perfect place to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city or launching pad for a day trip to the Matterhorn. Upon checkout Otto surprised my husband with a parting gift, an assortment of Swiss beer knowing he was a beer connoisseur. If your travels takes you this way you must stay here!
