A warm welcome to a homely alpine lodge - Made to feel at home as family. Generous portions cooked for dinner and breakfast. Thankyou Tomas for your and your families care and attention to making our stay memorable. Not to mention the location in the mountains, 5 mins walk from the Brambruesch cable car. We will be back to climb the mountain and toboggon the rail.

We spent just one night at Bergpension Battagliahütte, and we are absolutely thrilled with this place! The views and the surrounding nature are simply breathtaking — it’s like stepping into a postcard. A special thank you to the host and his family for their incredible hospitality. They made us feel so welcome, and the atmosphere was very warm and heartfelt. We had such a wonderful time here and would wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and unforgettable stay!

We received the warmest of welcomes when we arrived. Thomas made us feel immediately relaxed with his excellent hospitality skills. It was lovely to share this location and comfortable home with Thomas and his family. We were travelling by motorbike and Thomas helped us select a suitable route through stunning scenery.

The location is a bit off the beaten track, but easily reached by cable car or car. It’s so peaceful and the views are beautiful. If you want to wake up to the sound of cowbells, you couldn’t choose a better place. The hosts were also super welcoming. You immediately felt part of the family. It is clear that the owners are an active part in the local community and that they pride themselves on great food and traditional recipes. Our stay felt very special and we couldn’t have asked for more.

Lovely hosts who welcomed us very warmly! The restaurant on site is something special - we had the best schnitzel and langosh there that we ever had! Food was always fresh and prepared with care. Stayed for a couple of nights there to enjoy the mountains. Easy enough during the day to go for hikes to the surrounding peaks through fields of flowers and amazing views. Very quiet and relaxing at nights.

The traditional wooden chalet was set in a beautiful location at the top of the mountain in Brambruesch, a gondola/cable car ride or 20/30 minute car journey from Chur city centre. The hotel was very clean and well cared for. We had a large family room with stunning views over the valley. It had a large comfy double bed plus bunk beds and a table and seating for 6 people. Bergpension Battagliahutte had a great homely feel thanks to the hosts Tomas and his lovely family who could not do enough to make our stay enjoyable.

The area is beautiful. We were there in September and a snow storm had come through coating the trees and grass with a couple of inches of snow which added to the beauty. The owners are very friendly and warm.

Beautiful location, easy gondola access from Chur to the accommodation (a brief 2min walk). Chalet is gorgeous and hosts are very friendly, polite and accommodating. Such comfy beds - pillows and blankets so soft, snuggly and comfortable! Room warm, clean and quiet! Absolutely picturesque surroundings enhanced by the soft cow bells - heard when you open the windows.

The location is outstanding, (an area of natural beauty.) Thomas the Host, was wonderful. We were running later than planned and on arrival he met us at the doors. He even provided a hot meal and a nice cold beer. The rooms were large and beds comfortable. This is one place I wish to return to. Everything was just fantastic.

Summertime stay. Incredibly friendly and accommodating owners. Incredible location with beautiful scenic views. The town of Chur is very nice. Staying here (away from it all) adds a totally different dimension to the visit. Tip: If you're in a group, have some take the gondolas up while the driver (and those afraid of heights) go in the car. Both routes are beautiful.
