Sweet B&B in a cute town! We really enjoyed our stay there. The host is really welcoming and warm, their home cooked lasagne was delicious. Best we had in a while.

We enjoyed a lovely little stay with Richie for four nights in B&B Chiarina in Valle Di Muggio a small, quaint and quite little town in the Ticino Region. The hospitality, warmth and reception that we have received from Richie is something we had never even experienced before in our homeland as well. I was in Mendrisio for work and happened to come across Richie's beautiful property on Booking.com and as highly as his property is spoken of already here are some of the many things that made staying with Richie truly a gratifying experience- 1) Richie was kind to pick us up from Mendrisio Stazione and drove us down to his beautiful property in Muggio Paise. 2) The property reeks of a beautiful medieval vibe, with cobbled stone flooring, Ticino paintings, wooden fire place and a spectacular view of the Ticino peaks topping it all off from the room. 3) You get to enjoy an excellent breakfast spread fresh from the Ticino Farms- Eggs, meats,cheese, breads, croissant, fruits, yoghurt, cereals, juices, coffee, and the most incredible home-made marmalade and pies baked by his wife. 4) The property is very conveniently located 2 minutes away from the Muggio Paise bus station.Richie very kindly had arranged for a Ticino Pass for us that helped us explore some beautiful places like Lugano, Locarno, Asccona, Bellinzona. 5) The property is brilliantly maintained with regular housekeeping service. Feel free to enjoy the best of swiss toffee, coffee, and chocolates at B&B Chiarina. Life does reward one with incredible encounters, and meeting Richie was nothing short of an exceptional experience of seeing grace, kindness, humility, and generosity up close.

The road to get there is a little narrow, but that is also the charm of an Italo-Swiss valley. If you are looking for a hot hotel in the middle of Como, this isn't for you. However, if you want a peaceful BnB in a beautiful farm valley, look no further.

B&B Chiarina was an incredible value for the money. The beautiful view, a freshly renovated building, and a lovely owner/operator made the stay very memorable. I was truly impressed with how modern the space was; the cleanliness was refreshing and it was very quiet.

It should be noted that there are not many restaurants in the area, the closest ones being 20 minutes away.

This B&B is perfect to enjoy of the wonderful Valle di Muggio. The facilities are very comfortable and Richi, the owner, is a spectacular host. Highly recommended. The best, the homemade breakfast and his recommendations.

It was a amazing place, the view the quiet the host was just perfect for what we had in mind. The drive up was breathtaking and if I had known I would have stayed longer. I thought the idea of no TV would bother me but no just having the peace and quiet was enough! Breakfast was great loved the local cheese and she had a great selection of breads ,jams etc.

The room has the bed in the top of the bathroom, so you have to climb. Can be funny for kinds and young people, but not able to older persons or people who search a conventional room.

The owner was very kind with us. The breakfast was great. The room was perfectly clean. The keylock outside the entrance allowed us to arrieve at any time.

A little reminder to bring cash would have been handy maybe, but for the rest it was really nice.

Very friendly and welcoming owner of the B&B. Breakfast was very nice and prepared fresh. We enjoyed the area, it is a beautiful hidden spot, like you are literally sleeping inside the mountain. There is a small restaurant next door, but make sure to give a call beforehand so that they know you're coming. If we could, we would have stayed longer but also for one night it was a wonderful experience.
