Perfect view. Each room has balcony and the view is amazing, you can see the lake and the mountain in front. We were impressed by the old look of the furniture, so if you like this style is really special. I would say is nice for 2 nights stay.

You can here everything from the other room, doors are really noisy if you do not take care to close them gently.

The day we were leaving the construction gear was taken off of the house/ out of the backyard and they allowed us to walk around the gardens but it was raining. The gardens were very beautiful and would have been a highlight to be able to spend time out there. They were part of why I booked there. They had a lot of interesting family pictures up the stairwells inside the house. The views were beautiful from our window. He did give us dinner recommendations that was very good but the walk was very far on a pretty narrow winding road that cars speed down and very dark to walk back at night. The bathroom was right across the hall which was nice. The house itself from the parts I saw was clean and taken care of.

It was up a very large hill which I tried to research ahead and requested a lower floor due to knee issues. We were on the third floor which was a lot of stairs. They told me it was a five min walk from the bus but did not say straight up a hill which I asked ahead to prevent issues. We got there close to 6pm for check in which is 5 to 8pm. There was very little info provided at check in, no tour of the house upon arrival, just breakfast times. He was very focused on getting us the city passes which seemed to be his priority. No info on common spaces so we didn't know if they had any and didn't know if we should come out of our room at all or had to stay in it. There was no place to get drinking water that we were told and no mini fridge or facilites that we could use while there for food storage. My husband wanted breakfast our last day but he took a long shower to try and help his back from the bed and missed the time. He wanted at coffee but instead we were asked if we were checking out ask basically walked out the front door (we still had a half hour). Breakfast was bread, jam, yogurt, cheese, juice, coffee so not a meal like we've experienced at other B&B's we've been to around the world. The bed was terrible with concrete blocks under it I had to take a picture I've never seen anything like it. It was so hard with really thin pillows. Woke up to construction removal outside our window men on scaffolding pounding to get it apart.

The building and location were both amazing! Very cool history of the old hotel and how it became the bed and breakfast. The staff were very friendly and accommodated any requested we had. We had to check out very early our last day (before breakfast) and they still provided hot tea and to go fruit. Very thoughtful and nice!
