Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwitzerlandNothing really, it was all quite ok!
We had a small apartment of the first floor with good views. Location is very good, very close to the cable car. We arrived late at night but someone came to welcome us after phoning the reception. Breakfast was good and varied (not a big buffet, but we had some sweet and some salty stuff).

SwitzerlandShower stall is tiny, we managed but can be cramped for some. No lift access, have to walk three flights of stairs down to reach our room. Would be great to have an electric kettle.
Lovely view, well equipped, plenty of towels. Not too many rules regarding cleaning up (although we did clean up the kitchen before leaving). Comfortable beds and a small table for eating or working on. Appreciated the hairdryer. The staff is friendly. Check in was smooth and straightforward. Location is great, close to shops and Mitte station. Will recommend to friends. Breakfast is provided in the room price.

AustraliaThere was no soap in the shower, and I was a bit confused where the kettle was (I think you have to use the teapot directly on the stovetop). Also no tea or coffee. However, these things are minor
The view was amazing! The room was comfortable, the breakfast was good. The staff were pleasant. Located close to the gondola.

IndiaWhat an amazing B&B, the view and the location nailed it. Riederalp is one of our fav villages of Swiss and having stayed at many apartments, this studio definitely stood out thanks to amazing view from balcony and the proximity to the Cable car (big plus when you have to drag luggage in snow ). The studio seemed freshly redone, everything is new and spotless and clean and modern. The size is big enough, with kitchen and its amenities available for proper cooking and the balcony overlooks the amazing mountain ranges. They have their own backerei and we had one of the best breads for Breakfast. Definitely coming back here.

SwitzerlandQuite cold in the room, especially on the floor (impossible to walk bare foot 😂) Missed some fruit & muesli for breakfast.
Riederalp is a really cute village with no car, so it was great that the B&B was just a few meters away from the cable car arrival. Also close to supermarket and ski lifts (ski there). Really nice & clean studio with kitchen facilities, comfortable bed. Looks like it was refurbished. ski room inside the building so heated, perfect to have your equipment dry overnight.

SwitzerlandNothing, it worked out excellently
We were upgraded right upon arrival, and had ample space in a large appartement for the full family. The appartement was very clean, two bathrooms and a lovely view. The breakfast gave all we needed: great bread, cheese and nicely served coffee and juice! The location right next to Riederalp Mirte is very central!

AustraliaI arrived at the Riederalp Mitte cable car station and it was a 2 minute walk to B&B Zurschmitten. My studio apartment was spacious, clean, and looked to be newly renovated, with a good kitchen space with cooktop and microwave. The Coop was close by. The views from the balcony were wonderful, looking over to the mountains on the other side of the valley. I spent a very comfortable 3 nights here, enjoying the walk trails and visiting the viewpoints over Aletsch Glacier. The people I talked to when I checked in and out, and who served breakfast in the restaurant were all very friendly. The price was very good and I would highly recommend a stay here!

SwitzerlandIf you look for a generous breakfast, take something else, because the breakfast here is a kind of sad joke, if you want to spend the rest of your day in the mountains. 1 roll, 1 croisant, few slices of ham and cheese and some jam in a small plastic box for a person. That's all. No other choice, no vegetables, no cereals, nothing warm to eat. If you're not a hotel guest, you will be charged 19 chf for that. There is no proper reception desk, so you don't know where to go after arrival. Some of the stuff react as the guests were disturbing them. The toillet in our bathroom was not clean. Very intense smell of chlorine in the corridor (like at a swimming pool).
The room was big, nice furnitured with cosy electric-fireplace and really great view. The hotel is very well situated, just next to the gondol-station. It's ok 1 night.

SwitzerlandBreakfast was served (no buffet). It thus didn't have amenities such as eggs or egg dishes, müesli, fruit or joghurt. Fruit juice and coffee consisted of a single serving. There were no amenities in the shower (soap, shampoo), which is a bit of a pain when you are traveling lightly as a hiker. Kitchenette was of no use for a single night, as basic stuff such as salt, pepper, and oil were missing.
View from the room was great. Studio was clean.
